DEA Detains Dirty Duarte Doctor Monrovia Police Investigation Leads to DEA Arrest of Arcadia Doctor for Overprescribing Opiate Painkillers

On Feb ruary 10 a physician with a practice in Duarte was arrested on federal narcotics charges for allegedly dispensing powerful and

addictive painkillers, such as oxycodone and hydrocodone, directly out of his office without examining “patients” who instead simply paid him cash for pills. Daniel J. Healy, 52 , who resides in Arcadia, was arrested by DEA at his office without incident. According to a criminal complaint filed last week and unsealed today, Healy allegedly ordered, dispensed and

Pasadena, like every other community across the country, is experiencing an increase in the numbers of homeless. Rev. Pat O’Reilly, the executive director of the Ecumenical Council of Pasadena Area Churches (ECPAC), says there is a 20% increase in the services that she manages. “This time last year the Bad Weather Shelter, which is the only local cold weather shelter that takes in families, served 130 individuals. This year our numbers have reached more than 170 people on a given night. O’Reilly Homeless on 24
