against Armenian Genocide recognition by the United States. House Resolution 252 (H.Res.252), a resolution now on the floor of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Capitol Hill, “calls upon the President […] to accurately
characterize the systematic and deliberate annihilation of 1,500,000 Armenians as genocide and to recall the proud history of United States intervention in opposition to the Armenian Genocide.” This resolution, which

85 Year Old Kills Wife with Hatchet James Lu, 85, was arrested early Saturday morning after he admitted that he killed his wife, Michelle. Upon arrival, L.A. County Coroner’s officials identified the dead woman as 55-year-old Michelle Lu. The murder was reported to L.A. County Sheriff’s around 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Rosemead Boulevard. The area is unincorporated and therefore not actually Pasadena’s police jurisdiction even though the address is Pasadena. James Lu called the Sheriff’s Temple Station to say he had hurt his wife, Rosenberg said. When deputies arrived at the home, they found Michelle Lu dead. There was apparently some sort of domestic dispute that led to the final outcome. Some early news reports indicated the Lu’s son was home when Michelle Lu was killed and grabbed the hatchet from his father. This information could be confirmed, however. James Lu was being held without bail and is due for arraignment in Alhambra Superior Court on Tuesday morning on murder charges.
