On the west coast they were shown in Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; in the Museum of Natural History; and the Ronald Reagan Library. Measure ‘A’ City Responds to Lawsuit St. Baldrick’s 10th Annual Event at Matt Denny’s Tonight Passes in by San Gabriel Police Arcadia Officers Association St Baldrick’s Day Measure A Semi-Official Election Returns are in according to latest figures from AUSD. The Measure needed twothirds (66.7%) Yes votes from the more than 9,000 votes cast in order to be approved. When the results came it was apparent that the measure passed barely by less than 1%.
The San Gabriel Police Officers Association filed a lawsuit against the City of San Gabriel, members of the Council and City staff, alleging that the City has misappropriated funds from the City’s retirement fund. This lawsuit comes less than 48 hours after the City declared it had reached an impasse in negotiations with three of the City’s four recognized bargaining units over the City’s request that all employees begin to make their own contributions to their pension plan. The City is deeply dis-
appointed that the Police Officers Association has used litigation as a vehicle to secure its demands, and doubly saddened that the Association would use unfounded and inflammatory claims to support them. We believe the City has acted ethically, legally, responsibly, and in the best interests of its residents and its taxpayers. We will continue to do so. The Police Officers Association has called a news conference tomorrow. We

Matt McSweeny has hosted this remarkable event for the past decade and was founded locally with former Arcadia Lion, George Carter’s inspiration.
