Pasadena Pundits Dub this Year’s Doo Dah “The Rosie Parade”

Pasadena City Council called for the drafting of a smoking ordinance that could ban renters from smoking in their own apartments. City Council directed staff to draft a ordinance that would ban smoking in common areas of apartment buildings by the summer; ban smoking in all proposed multi-unit housing; require a disclosure of the law in rental, lease or purchase agreements by January 2012 and all out ban of smoking in apartment units by January 2013.

Unfortunately though, the aftermath of the quake still arises as Japan’s efforts to recover progresses. One of the more preva-

lent after effects has been the power rationing in the form of scheduled blackouts in the Kantou region of Japan, which includes cities such as Tokyo and Yokohama. Suspect Threatens Fruit for All Celebrates Girlfriend - Now Held for First Anniversary Psychiatric Evaluation BY SUSAN MOTANDER On Sunday, April 3, 2011, just before 8:00 p.m., the Monrovia Police Department received a call from a woman living on Shady Oaks Drive. She said she had fled her home when her boyfriend, Daniel Simpson, threatened her with a sword. She and a female friend left leaving the suspect inside. She reported that Simpson was also armed

with a handgun and a rifle. The girlfriend told police that she had seen Simpson with ammunition for the pistol. When police arrived at the residence, they found the suspect barricaded in the house and refusing to cooperate with them. MPD Officers surrounded the location and
