$300,000 Raised for Navy SEALs Foundation

Firefighters, police officers and other members of Team CrossFit Academy suffered blood sweat and tears on Saturday to honor and help the Navy SEALs’ families post August 6 attack. TEAM CrossFit Academy, the first official Affiliate in Monrovia and 18th CrossFit Affiliate worldwide, was selected to host the 31 Heroes Tribute Workout on September 3, 2011. The city’s newspaper, Monrovia Weekly, was also a sponsor of the event Saturday that paid homage to the 30 American men and one working dog who lost their lives while killed in action in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011.
