I final thesis “Common Places” Slum regeneration project for the comunity of Ropolon in Sierra Leone. The project’s aim is to provide the neighbourhood with a basic needs infrastructure system, and to restructure the urban fabric by creating a network of social and gathering spaces for the comunity to enjoy.

Clean water. SODIS system. The clean water towers are equiped with SODIS system panes to provide disinfected water to the comunity. This system treats water through solar UV-A rays which kill germs.

II last year project “Cebada Social Market” Transforming the traditional “Mercado de la Cebada” in Madrid into a contemporary market, an urban facility whose primary function is no longer tradebut the exchange of experiences. Recycling this decayed building, reactivation as a brand new social meeting space for Madrid’s citizens and visitors.

use of light materials. This way the project allows the building to evolve as its use increases, and users to adapt each room to its needs.

Market plan modular designed pattern enhancing this flexibility. The partitions are set by mobile walls anchored to a fixed substructure, and ceilings can be pulled so as to compose three-dimensional spaces.
