What is family violence?
This is a community-based program designed to help build relationships free from violence.
Family violence is harmful to you and your family. It could be in the form of:
• Hurtful words • Threats and threatening gestures • Actual physical harm to people, property, pets, etc.
• Withholding affection and / or unwanted •

Why does violence happen? People are not born ‘angry.’ Violent behaviour is often modelled for us within the family, community or what is witnessed in the media.
