OIL PAINTING FOR OLDER ADULTS
CREATIVE ART JOURNALING
In this program you will make some new friends and share in the joy of learning the basics of painting in a safe and inviting environment! During this multi-week workshop you will learn the basics of how to work with oil paints at a pace that works for you. Learn techniques of blending and layering colours to create intensity and luminosity. At the end you will take home 2 of your own works of art! This program is designed for older adults, but any adults may register. All supplies will be included in the course.
Creative Art Journaling is a fun and spontaneous way to discover your artist within. In this course you will create your own unique journals and experiment with various elements of art while playing with paper, scissors, glue colors and imagery. Have fun re-igniting your creativity in this spontaneous art journaling process. Each week is an open invitation to develop your own creative style. Art journaling is for EVERYONE, no special skills required. All supplies will be included in the course.

STAINED GLASS GARDEN PLANT PICKS
GARDEN PHOTOGRAPHY
Join this fun interactive class where you will learn the basics of stained glass while creating 2 garden plant picks. In just a matter of hours you will learn the techniques to cut, grind, foil, and solder your very own stained glass art. A variety of patterns will be provided to choose from as well as a wonderful assortment of glass in many colours and textures. There is no experience required, just the ability to stand for the duration of the class. All the supplies are included in this workshop. 7120

BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY
STAINED GLASS - SCRAP GLASS BIRDS Join our wonderful instructor in this fun interactive class where you will learn the basics of stained glass. In this class you will create 2 scrap glass birds in just a few hours. You will learn to grind, foil, and solder your piece together bringing it to life. Learn how to photograph the many bird species that transit and nest in and around Beaumont. In this series of 3 classes you will learn the do’s and don’ts of bird photography, discuss gear required and learn valuable tips and tricks to help you get your shots! There will be a 2 hour instructor led photo walk, location to be determined during class and weather dependent, in the Beaumont area (up to 30 minute drive) to practice your skills. The last class will be a chance to show some of the pictures you captured, gain feedback and ask any follow up questions. DSLR recommended with telephoto lens or camera with telephoto capabilities. Equipment/ gear questions can be forwarded via email to the instructor prior to class. 6374

In this workshop you will learn and practice many different techniques and tricks to bring out the best in your garden photography. Whether it’s the flowers, landscapes, macro subjects, bugs, wildlife or all of the above that catch your eye, our professional photographer instructor will show you how you can make your images shine. This course will involve multiple photo walks to practice what you are learning and give multiple opportunities for feedback and help. There will be a BONUS photowalk to the U of A Botanical Gardens (Devon, AB) on a weekend where you can practice all you have learned. Beginner to intermediate photographers with a basic understanding of their camera welcome. Please bring your camera and manual with you to all classes. 6375
