AUTONOMOUS SHUTTLE PILOT PROJECT Beaumont residents will be the first Canadians to experience driverless shuttle under a six-month pilot project. The pilot project is a partnership between the City of Beaumont, Pacific Western Transportation (PWT) and its 12-passenger Electric Autonomous (ELA) shuttle. About ELA ELA is manufactured by EasyMile, one of the leading autonomous vehicle technology companies with autonomous shuttles deployed in over 20 countries across Asia-Pacific, the Middle-East, North America, and Europe. •

Operates 100% autonomous and is powered by electricity Can carry up to 12 passengers Can board all passengers with my built-in access ramp Can operate on fixed or on-demand routes Can operate on existing roadways with no additional infrastructure required Supervised by a PWT operator
The identified route for ELA is travelling in the Northbound lane of 50 Street running from the Ken Nichols Regional Recreation Centre stopping in the Eastbound lane of Coloniale Way. Follow beaumont.ab.ca/583 for up to date route information. The route is designed specifically for community engagement with the shuttle operating adjacent to one of the highest utilized walking paths in the city. All boarding sites will be marked with signage to communicate authorized stop locations to passengers utilizing the service.
