Q1: If Beaumont was to restrict the consumption of Cannabis to designated areas/site. Where do you think these RESTRICTED sites should be? Group A Respondents (before question was clarified)

The survey shows that if Beaumont was to restrict the consumption of Cannabis to designated sites, that the largest majority of respondents favored extended distances from minors and the general public, as shown below: From the Group A respondents:  38% of the respondents favored extended distances from minors and the general public;  22% favored residential areas;  18% favored areas visually restricted from the public;

Question 2: If public consumption of Cannabis was permitted within Beaumont, restrictions may be applied. Which of the public consumption RESTRICTIONS given below do you think should be applied? If public consumption of Cannabis was permitted within Beaumont, the survey shows that the largest majority of the respondents would favor for it to be restricted from, Schools, and School Yards, and Child Care Centers.

A majority of the 711 respondents favor banning the consumption of cannabis in public, as opposed to allowing the consumption of cannabis as outlined in the Provincial Legislation or designated consumption sites, as seen below;  43% of the respondents favored banning the consumption of cannabis in public;

 31% favored to allow the consumption of cannabis as outlined in the Provincial legislation; and  26% would allow cannabis consumption to be restricted to designated areas.

In regard to applying the same restrictions to smoking Tobacco as Cannabis:

Question 5: Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions in regard to cannabis consumption? Summarized topics of conversation: We had 350 responses to this question, to which the heavy majority (46%) were for aligning the consumption of cannabis to that of alcohol (being that people are prone to intoxication) – implying to have cannabis only consumed in private residence. A moderate number of people were concerned about the nuisance factor of cannabis, whether it be from the exposure from neighbors or of any public consumption. Key themes The dominant themes pertaining to cannabis consumption from this question were geared toward;  Public consumption  An overwhelming majority were concerned about where cannabis will and will not be allowed to be consumed.  Health and Safety  Primarily for the sake of keeping it away from children and minors.  Nuisance  Being able to limit the exposure of the odor from hindering daily activities and lifestyle.

and 1% did not live in Beaumont but did own a business in the Town.
