COMMUNITY PROGRAMS CHILDREN & TEEN CLASSES
ROCK CLIMBING, YOGA, CROSSFIT We are heading to Rock Jungle Fitness for a fun day of rock climbing on a world class rock wall, learn yoga in a professional studio, and challenge our bodies in the CrossFit gym! At Rock Jungle, everyone is an athlete, with a program designed with the long term athletic development of all athletes in mindwe will build fundamental skills first and athletic performance second. Come out, have fun, and get fit! PLEASE NOTE: Don't forget to wear comfy clothes, and bring socks, indoor sneakers, a water bottle, and a snack! Lunch will be provided. An additional Rock Jungle Fitness Waiver MUST be filled out, signed by a parent or guardian, and returned to the Aqua Fit Centre- waivers will be e-mailed. ANIMAL CAREER DAY Cuddle up with some of Edmonton's most adorable residents! Today campers will be heading to the Edmonton Humane Society. The Humane Education program is specially designed to foster a better understanding of companion animals and their ethical treatment. Campers will learn what the humane society does, how animals make their journey through the shelter and into their fur-ever homes, and take a behind-the-scenes tour! Campers will leave with a better understanding of animal behaviour, body language, careers with animals, how to treat animals kindly, and pocket pet care. Come! Cuddle! Care! PLEASE NOTE: Don't forget to wear walking shoes and pack a peanut free bagged lunch, and a water bottle. An additional Edmonton Human Society Wavier MUST be filled out, signed by a parent or guardian, and returned to the Aqua-Fit Centre - waivers will be emailed. LEDUC #1 MAD-PETRO SCIENTISTS Campers are going to spend a day learning what has driven Alberta's economy for decades. Our MadPetro Scientists will uncover the secret of science and chemistry through different concoctions and experiments at Leduc #1 Energy Discovery Centre! Campers will learn about Alberta's history and sciences and discover how we find and extract one of our most precious resources. Campers will develop connections to the oil and gas industry through exploring a real rig, drilling beneath the earth's surface to see oil oozing into the World's Largest Drill Bit, and traveling through a section of 42" pipe to learn the importance of smart pigs. Join us for an exciting day of exploring and experimenting! PLEASE NOTE: Don't forget to wear walking shoes and pack a peanut free bagged lunch, and a water bottle. ALLSTARS INDOOR PLAYLAND Join us at Edmonton's largest indoor playland, Allstars- where every child is a star, and ever star shines! Allstars, offers a unique venue for children to develop both physically and socially. In this safe environment, campers will focus on fun and adventure while they climb, slide, jump, leap, tumble, but most importantly laugh and smile their way through the facility.
