BSRC SPORTS & ACTIVITIES For more information and a schedule of drop-in sports & activities, please visit the BSRC website at www.beaumont.ab.ca/729. If you are a user group or interested in booking space through our recreation facility allocation process, more information can be found at www.beaumont.ab.ca/735. Please note: In order to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, individuals must pre-book prior to attending a drop-in session. The sport/ activity schedule is subject to change weekly, so please check the BSRC Drop-in section at www.clickit.beaumont.ab.ca prior to visiting the facility! IMPORTANT NOTES:

Stick & Puck Programs

• All Patrons must show proof of payment by having a wristband visible at all times.

• Adult/Child Stick & Puck is for all adults and children, supervision follows the general rules of the facility (Children 7 years or younger must be supervised by a responsible individual 14 years or older). The responsible individual must be able to see and access the child.

• Patrons 7 years of age and younger must be supervised by a parent or guardian 14 years of age and older. • During COVID-19, participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment for drop-in sports and activities. However, there will be equipment available for the scheduled drop-in sport or activity at that time. Users are expected to clean equipment after use with the dispense wipes provided, and put into the cart labeled “Used Equipment”, which is then cleaned by our staff members. ICE ARENA SPECIFIC:

• There are NO organized games/shinny during this time. Slap-shots, rough play, and pick-up games are not permitted. Users will be asked to leave the ice surface if they do not follow these regulations. • The timeslot is reserved for children/adults to work on their basic hockey skills in a safe and respectful environment. Stick & Puck is a program intended for skill development and not intended for formal groups or hockey teams, formal team coaching is not permitted. • Participants 17 years and under must wear full hockey equipment which includes:

Public Skating • CSA approved helmets are mandatory for participants 17 years of age and younger and strongly recommended for all ice users.

a. CSA certified hockey helmet (full face mask)

• Only participants wearing skates can go out on to the ice surface.

c. Hockey pants

• Sticks & Pucks are not permitted during Public Skate.

d. Support cup

• Skating aids must be approved by facility staff to ensure it is safe to use and will not damage the ice nor facility. Skating aids must not have sharp edges or points.

f. Regulation hockey stick • Adults are required to wear a CSA certified helmet, gloves, and skates, along with a regulation hockey stick.
