CLASS INTENSITY LEVELS

All of our classes are designed to offer different intensity levels to suit the fitness needs of our entire community! While classes are rated more or less intense, do note that our certified instructors skillfully offer modifications to our fitness classes to adapt to varying fitness levels and physical limitations.

RPE – Rate of Perceived Exertion is based on a scale of 1-10. Rate of perceived exertion is a measure of effort level. A rating of 1 is rest or extremely light exercise, 2-5 ratings reflect easy-moderate exercise, 6-7 is moderate to hard, and a rating of 8-10 is vigorous exercise.

LOW INTENSITY RPE: 2-5

Classes rated as low intensity typically use low impact movements. You are still comfortable performing exercises while challenging yourself, and you can carry a conversation during class.

MODERATE INTENSITY RPE: 6-8

Classes rated as moderate intensity use variations of both high and low impact exercises, also can be dependent on the participant’s preferred modifications. Comfort zones are pushed while you are starting to get short of breath and only maintain brief conversation.

HIGH INTENSITY RPE: 8-10

BEAUMONT BROADWAY PRODUCTIONS (8-16 YEARS OLD)

After many years of our successful Beaumont Broadway program bringing theatre to the lives of Beaumont’s kids, we’re aiming bigger!

Join us for an exciting and imaginative journey in our Beaumont Broadway Productions Musical Theatre class, where young performers will bring Disney’s Aladdin Kids to life! This fun and creative class is perfect for kids aged 8-16 who love to sing, dance, act, and explore their artistic talents. Over the course of 14 weeks, students will work together to put on a full musical theatre production, culminating in a 30-minute performance.

Our experienced instructors will lead the production, with help from talented voice coaches, choreographers, and designers! Expect engaging rehearsals, acting development, vocal training, and dynamic choreography.

Key Benefits:

• Boosts confidence and self-esteem

• Enhances communication and social skills

• Encourages teamwork and collaboration

• Fosters creativity and imagination

• Provides a fun and structured environment to explore the performing arts

Your kiddo will be most successful if they are willing to rehearse individually out of class time, and have involvement from an adult to help them with the process. There will be a parent meeting prior to the start, to explain the process and answer questions.

This program will include preparation work several weeks prior to the start, so register right away! This advance work will allow the kids to get familiar with the music and script, and give them the best chance to perform with confidence.

Solo parts (Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, etc) will be assigned by virtual audition. A small part of the script and music will be sent out for kids to learn, record, and submit. The solo parts will be assigned from those recordings.

The final performance will be on stage, under the lights, for family, friends, and the larger Beaumont community. The performance date isn’t finalized quite yet, but will be very close to the final class.

Whether your child is a seasoned performer or trying theatre for the first time, this class promises an unforgettable experience filled with magic, adventure, and the joy of performance. Join us and let your child’s talent shine as they step into the enchanting world of Disney’s Aladdin!
