We hope you all had a wonderful summer and welcome to all the new families joining our center. September is always a busy month for us and we ask for your patience as we get into our routines with room movement, new children starting, and kindergarten bussing. In this issue, we are introducing all the staff that work here so you can get to know them! In an effort to establish boundaries and maintain professionalism, we ask that parents refrain from “friend requesting” staff on social media. Just a few reminders:  Scholastic book orders will be starting again. Orders are due by the 15th of each month, payable by cheque only, no cash or you can pay directly on-line through scholastic.  Sick policy: If we have to send your child home due to illness, fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, they must be symptom free for 24 hours prior to returning to the Center; otherwise a doctor’s note will be required. This is a licensing policy and we are expected to adhere to it.  Please contact the room staff if your child will not be attending on any given day through email, by texting the room cell phone or calling the land line. Thank you to all the families who were able to join us for the Theater Presentation and Family Picnic on August 24th, we had a great time! We also want to thank you for all the heartfelt words, cards, emails, gifts, flowers and lunch room treats. The year went by way too fast and we appreciate all the acknowledgement for a job well done! If you have any questions or concerns, please connect with the staff in your child’s room or contact me. Have a great month. Jodie Vesso 780-929-1263 Jodie.vesso@beaumont.ab.ca

My visions and goals are to: -Give children a great start in life , by providing high quality care and education for young children ,while having a co-partner with the families. -Help young children understand themselves and the world around them by using emergent curriculum

-Plant seeds of trust and love for others in the minds of the children in my care. STEPHANIE: My name is Stephanie Beaudoin. I am 23 years old and have been employed at the Town of Beaumont Child Care Center since I was 16 years old. When I am not at work you can find me spending time with my dog, Kingston. I love taking him on long car rides, new adventurous hikes and out to the lake to swim and tube (wearing his life jacket of course). Sometimes I even bring him by work to visit, he loves children and is eager to show off his many tricks. I am so excited for another year in the Sunshine Room and look forward to getting to know each of you in this year together.

SCHOOL AGE SITE

Program Coordinator Shirley Webster Program Assistant Karissa George Program Assistant Jamie Scott Program Assistant Ingrid Holtz Program Support Karen Hanchurak , Ariunaa Tsend, Aydin Yasa

A new school year is beginning. Summer was a busy fun filled time. We hope that everyone enjoyed their vacation and also the activities they participated in at our site. First, we would like to welcome all the new Grade 1’s. At the end of August they had the chance to come down and visit the site so that the building is not a total surprise for them. Please parents when dropping off or picking up your child take the time to walk through the building and ask any questions that you might have concerning the program. Some house keeping rules that we have are: 1. Indoor shoes 2. Hat and water bottle. We do go outside as much as possible. Please label all articles with your child’s name. Many has the exact same style, size, color, etc. So having their names on articles make it much easier to locate. If your child will not be attending the program for any reason please either phone 780-929-2190 or text the Cell phone at 780-862-7803 and let us know. We may not be able to reply right away but will as soon as possible. To make the transition from home to the School Age Site and then to school as smooth as possible, please try to have your child here 15 minutes before the bus leaves or it is time to walk to the school. This will help ensure that they have everything need for the day. Congratulations to the book club winners for the month of July: Madison, Logan and Ben For the month of August the winners were Shaelynn, Adrian, Logan and Jaidyn Keep up the great work everyone. For those who have not yet done so please send in a family picture. This is for everyone as some of the pictures we have are a little outdated. We hope that everyone has a great month. It will be busy and lots of changes but we will get through it. SAS

Birthday wishes for the month of September go to the following: Rachel September 8 Jared September 14 Logan September 17 Hayden September 17 Seth P. September 18 Seth B September 30 We hope you all have a great day.
