How would you feel if you had to sell the house that you had lived in for over 50 years?

Our homeowners, Richard, and Corinne are doing just that! They are desperate to sell so they can move down to Canberra to be closer to their family… Unfortunately, they haven’t had a lot of luck selling.

The home itself could be something from a museum, it’s like a preserved time capsule of design history. Floral wallpaper, green carpet tiles and a pastel bathroom, what’s not to love? Richard and Corinne need the Selling Houses Australia team to help transform their property so they can sell and make the move down south!

Instead of a complete, pre-designed bathroom package, Wendy has created a new bathroom from scratch. The new bathroom is quite small, but we were able to pack in a shower, bath, and toilet. While it was important to have a toilet inside, it was also really important to fit a bath in too. Families looking at this home with young kids want to know they can bath their kids easily.

A mix of tile size, texture and colours were complimented with a white basin, green vanity, and brushed brass hardware. And to complete the look Wendy had designed a feature panel to go behind the vanity.

Wendy completed the look with a feature panel behind the vanity featuring our Cascade Orient Green! Den tiled the porch with our show stopper Sync Circle Green!

In 2004, Andrew and Caryl purchased land and built their forever home in Redland Bay.

Twenty years down the track, they are left with no other option than to sell their home to avoid bankruptcy.

They never had any intention of selling and their property wasn’t even on the market. However, Andrew’s business took a huge financial hit which resulted in having to close the company and being left with substantial debt repayments. They have been working around the clock to try and save their home. Close friends of Andrew and Caryl reached out to the Selling Houses team for help and set the goal of selling the house for the highest price possible. This could very much make the difference between the couple having to declare bankruptcy or not.

Dennis knows how important it is in Queensland to have space outside to gather and entertain. Therefore, Dennis freshened up the decking area with a new coat of paint and created an outdoor kitchen on the front balcony. Dennis chose our Majorca heritage White to create a stunning splashback for the new BBQ!
