About us..
BEAUTYBLISS Magazine is named “The Feel Good Magazine”. Our main purpose is to motivate people to follow their dreams and our number one goal is to leave every reader feeling inspired and happy. Why? Because it feels GOOD! So what does it mean to inspire?
Inspire
The definition of “inspire”... 1. to fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence: His courage inspired his followers. 2. to produce or arouse (a feeling, thought, etc.): to inspire confidence in others.
Sunshine
It is human nature to seek advancement and to want to improve the quality of our lives. We created BEAUTYBLISS Magazine to help guide people into such advancement and happiness and to discover the pure BEAUTY and BLISS of life. Being an online magazine, which can be read on all electronic devices, makes our words of wisdom easily accessible to any “happy seeker”. Providing the option to purchase hard copies allows people to hold the magazine in their hands and/or gift a copy to a loved one. Ah! Pure awesomeness, don’t you think?

One..
BEAUTYBLISS Magazine was first published in February of 2012. At the time it was more of a “test” to see if we could do it. And guess what... we did it!
Two..
So, we pursued it further by publishing our second issue, a few months later, in July of 2012. Gaining a wonderful local readership, in Powell River, we became excited and decided to dream even bigger.
Three..
On November 1st, 2012 we published our third issue with a BANG! We showcased international photographers, attended a major surfing event put on by Roxy Canada, interviewed the increasingly famous band, Walk Off The Earth (who was featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show), and so much more! By the end of 2012 we gained international exposure and readership, and are now read in over 40 Countries! Wow! That was just in ONE YEAR! Yes, dreams do come true my friend!

EXPERIENCE: No experience necessary! That’s right! All writing levels welcome! Sometimes the best writers are those who have yet to discover their gift. DESCRIPTION: Write an inspirational piece that will benefit the lives of others (more details on the following pages). BENEFITS: Not everyone receives an opportunity to grace an international magazine with their story, without first having spent years in a post-secondary school and applying for the part. By providing this opportunity we are building inner confidence and motivating people to go after their dreams running! Semi-professional and professional writers also benefit by seeing their name published again. They are also given the opportunity to proudly share the titles of their other publications, in their mini Bio section, on the Contributors page in the Magazine. Simply Loving Life Some people may be skeptical about why we are doing this. So, let’s just clear that up right away, shall we... We truly believe there are so many people out there who have yet to discover their talents. A dear friend of mine, Cheryl Monson, unknowingly sparked this entire idea... I really wanted her to write a piece for Issue #3. Not only did I not know whether she could write, but neither did she. I nearly had to plead her with tears in my eyes. Okay, that’s not true at all. But I did ask her quite a few times. She has such a fantastic personality that I knew if she wrote anything it would be awesome. Finally, just before publishing she submitted a piece. Holy Llama! This girl had talent! Her story, titled “Simply Loving Life”, went on to be the most inspirational and most loved article within the entire magazine. People were raving about her story saying how much it helped them. POOF! I mean, PROOF! Well, a little bit of both actually. Magically this girl touched the lives of thousands of people without even realizing it. Proof that if you just try you could uncover talents that you never knew you possessed. 10

Think about it It’s amazing what we can accomplish when someone believes in us. And it’s even more amazing what we can accomplish when we believe in ourselves. So, what do you say? Are you feeling inspired yet? Give it a shot! What have you got to lose anyway? Let’s take a moment and think about it... Thinking... thinking some more... NOTHING! You have absolutely nothing to lose. There are only multiple benefits to gain from this experience. If you put an effort into anything, you are instantly creating a forward motion of improvement. Ya, I don’t see that as a bad thing, do you? As Richard Branson, one of the most successful and influential business people in the world would say... “Screw it, let’s just do it!”

Publishing Info Publish Date: Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 (Volume #2, Edition #1) Future Publishing: The current plan for 2013 is to publish three editions. But luckily we don’t believe in setting things in stone. We are leaving our options open just in case we feel like publishing more than just three a year. Target Market: As of January 2013 we narrowed down our target market to Women 18-35 and we are now... wait for it... officially in the inspiring/self-help market! Bet that came as a total surprise! What we’re looking for: We are seeking stories and articles that leave the reader feeling happy, abundant and inspired. The chosen articles will have a positive impact, a clear optimistic ending and include contagious emotions and feelings like humour, passion, excitement, happiness, etc. Article Deadline: Monday, April 8th, 2013. Articles submitted after April 8th will be considered for future editions of BEAUTYBLISS Magazine. Early Submission: Please feel free to submit your piece early! We would love to get a feel for what you are working on ahead of time if you don’t mind giving us a wee sneak peak. *Please note that because we may experience a high number of submissions, that not all articles will make it to publishing.
