With each day passing the steam cleaning is becoming popular all over the world. Steamers can be used for all heat resistant surfaces like floors, carpets, garages etc. Nowadays starting from households to hospitals, hotels, restaurants and so on, the use of steam cleaners is a common feature. Steam cleaning machines use steam to clean different surfaces. The unique benefit we obtain from steam cleaning is the way it kills the bacteria, fungus, germs etc from the surface. We can categorize steam cleaners into the traditional and the vapor steam cleaners. Features of traditional steamers For any purpose of cleaning the traditional steam cleaners utilize wet steam. The basic parts of a traditional steamer are a boiler, a collecting tank, a hose pipe and a set of specific purpose brushes. Plain water is to be poured into the boiler and heated for a specified time. The nozzle plays an important role in spraying the hot steam with force on the surface being cleaned. The surface is properly scrubbed with the brushes and then the waste is pulled up in the suction chamber. All steam cleaning machines do not have the waste collecting suction tank. In that case a little manual wiping by clothes is required. Eco friendly and harmless cleansers are quite available in the market. Along with simple water these chemical solutions add to the effectiveness of steam cleaning. Using traditional steam cleaners has a major disadvantage. There is a high possibility of the surface getting damaged if it is not water resistant because the steam in this type of cleaner has a high quantity of moisture. The heat and water resistant bodies like hard floors, carpets, tiles etc can be cleaned with utmost efficiency. Steam cleaning wooden furniture and electronic goods with traditional steam cleaners should always be avoided. Features of the vapor steamers Now talking about the vapor steamers, they are structure wise same as the traditional ones. They also have boiler, collecting chamber, pressure nozzle and hose pipes. The heat they generate is actually where the principle difference lies. The vapor cleaners produce steam at usually at more than 100 degrees centigrade which is also known as dry steam with very little say about 5 percent of moisture content. The steam without moisture generated after the water is heated in the boiler is sprayed on to the surface by the pressure nozzle. For effective loosening of the dust and dirt particles from the surface the dry steam plays an important role. For pulling up the loose dirt simple vacuuming is enough. The application of vapor cleaners can be extended to any heat resistant surface. Many surfaces like hard wood floors and other wooden furniture which used to have a chance of getting damaged when cleaned with traditional steamers can now be cleaned by vapor cleaners without any difficulty. Better killing of bacteria, fungus, germs and allergens is possible through dry steam than through wet steam.
