Creating outstanding learning environments We recognise the importance of creating a stimulating and wellresourced environment with great facilities so that our learners have the best possible experience. We’ve invested over £16m across both campuses to create purpose built facilities for our learners equipped with the latest machinery and technology.
The Learning Resource Centres Our Learning Resource Centres at both Middleton and Rochdale campuses were recently upgraded and have over 150 workstations on a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) offering students around the clock access from either the College or from home to curriculum applications and data. The userfriendly centres are open until 8.30pm most days with dedicated support staff available on site to assist students.
Sports Park Our sports park boasts some of the best 3G facilities in the area with floodlit all-weather pitches, excellent changing rooms, a training room and free parking. Many local teams and leagues use the Sports Park including the all-weather sand based kick pitch that is used by local junior teams and adults wishing to play 5a-side football.
Taking technology further Our brand new £7m Technology Centre opened in September 2011 at the Middleton Campus with the most up to date facilities, IT, tools and equipment. The building accommodates learners studying courses in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Electrical Installation and Carpentry & Joinery and Brickwork.
Food and drink Our catering facilities for students, staff and visitors offer a wide range of food and snacks prepared fresh each day by our very own catering students.
