The Shallow Waters
The Shallow Waters Rebecca Thorp
The summer water is fresh and full of life, the air is dry and warm, a gental breeze blows through the valley, the reeds and trees billow in the wind. Children and dogs play in the river, kicking up silt from the river bed. While the inhabitats of the river hide in the banks, reeds and water crowfoot waiting for the intuders to leave thier waters. Meanwhile the diverse shades of green surge with the sun and wind. The light glistens with the current creating a gleaming layer along the flowing water.
