Shakespeare’s Globe Launch Organic Beer Range 01 December, 2011

Shakespeare’s Globe has joined forces with Hepworth & Co Brewers Ltd to launch an exclusive range of organic beers. Globe Blonde, Globe Ale and Globe Stout, will be available in the Swan Bar and for purchase in the Globe Shop from December 2012. Hepworth & Co. grow their own hops on site in West Sussex and have worked closely with the Swan team based at the Globe to create artisan beers to be sold exclusively at one of the country’s most iconic theatre’s. Their commitment to local barley and hop growers has led to their participation in the Warranty of Origin, a code of practice guaranteeing the source of ingredients. These premium beers will be used within the creation of new dishes developed by the talented onsite team of chefs and served in The Swan Restaurant. Globe Blonde, Ale and Stout will also be partnered with dishes to compliment their complex flavors, with trained staff on hand to offer recommendations. This new partnership adds to The Swan’s commitment to sourcing local produce and showcasing the best that Britain has to offer in its seasonal menus. Gift boxes of all three will be on sale in the Globe Shop from early December for just £10, making an ideal Christmas present.
