Creative Artworker & Print Co-ordinator Marketing Manager & Commercial Director

Overall Purpose The role of the Creative Artworker & Print Co-ordinator is to provide in-house graphic design support to the Communications team in promoting and engaging audiences with all aspects of Shakespeare’s Globe’s activity. The post holder will have the opportunity to work with an exciting cultural brand alongside the Globe’s appointed external design agencies to translate identity concepts into a range of collateral in both print and digital formats. The post requires someone with an instinctive flair for excellent design, who can work quickly and accurately to deadlines, prioritise workloads, and with an ability to provide solutions but also a willingness to take instruction. It will operate on a part-time basis of 21 hours per week; initially, the contract will be for a trial period to October 2012 after which the position will be reviewed. Principal Responsibilities

To artwork adverts, posters, production flyers etc for theatre productions, education events, Exhibition and other public activities. To design layouts for e-shots (and build if capable). Adapt existing design assets to create materials that can be utilised for low cost promotions. Support the Comms and Development departments in the promotion of fundraising initiatives. Help to manage building branding, signage and general look and feel of the Globe site. Contribute to the creative development of campaigns with other members of the Marketing & Digital team. Assist in making the Globe’s internal communications appealing and informative. Co-ordinate print requirements across the Globe to assist in the timely delivery of projects and ensuring high quality for the best price, including liaising with printers for quotes, checking proofs and monitoring progress and delivery. Promote adherence to the Globe’s visual identity guidelines internally and externally, and assist the Commercial Director, Marketing Manager, Marketing & Digital team and lead external design agency in evolving them.
