Communications (Intern) All placements are unpaid posts, the Globe can not offer travel expenses or accommodation, and if you wish to take up an internship offer you will be responsible for these areas yourself. Non EU citizens will also need to obtain the correct visa from their local British Embassy or consulate.
We are looking for an Intern to work on a 4 day per week basis from 27th February 2012 until 25th May 2012 to support the work of our Department. Reporting to: Rebecca Storey (Senior Press & PR Officer) & Ben Davis (Senior Marketing Officer) Role: The Communications department occupies a position at the centre of the organisation, and is responsible for marketing, media liaison and publishing and has a particular responsibility for sustaining and developing the Globe brand. Responsibilities: • Answering email enquiries from the general public • Answering written correspondence • Monitoring the Globe’s press coverage • Maintaining the press and marketing archives • Preparing media packs • Assisting in market research projects • Updating of Globe databases • Supporting the day-to-day administration of the department Further projects can be tailored according to the successful applicants existing skills or interests Personal Profile: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Computer literate • Happy to work in an administrative role • Good accuracy and attention to detail • An interest in theatre and the performing arts
