Front of House Internships (Operational) Theatre Department Working Evenings/Weekends over the Theatre Season until October 2nd We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn about Front of House operation at an international arts venue and are able to commit to a full time shift pattern. The FoH interns will act as support to the Front of House Team which consists of a House Manager, Deputy House Manager and Stewards Co-ordinator, together with three seasonal Duty Managers. This team works to co-ordinate a pool of over 500 volunteer Stewards, who form a key part of the FOH operation during the season. The interns will cover a wide range of activities with specific responsibilities in the day to day operational duties of the Front of House team. Flexibility to share the range of evening and weekend performances throughout the seven day performance week is key to this placement. Reporting To:

Responsibilities To provide operational back up to the FOH Duty Management team and assist with:
The set up for weekend and evening performances; arrangements for press nights and midnight performances; The escorting of our access patrons to their assigned area of the theatre and the following up of any extra assistance needed; Event planning & activities for Stewards during the season. The smooth running of School Groups booked into the theatre performances and the logging of any problems for accurate follow up.
Personal Profile A theatre background is not essential, but a proactive responsible approach and a keen interest in theatre are key requisites, as are; Proven experience in customer care. Good literacy and basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. The ability to respect confidentiality. A Flexible approach together with strong people skills.
