Basketball

Basketball is played both in the Autumn and Spring terms with pupils receiving five hours of training per week at the Senior School in addition to developmental training once a week in the Summer term. Led by our English National League Level 4 referee Head Coach with over 30 years’ experience, pupils play a competitive fixtures programme in the local independent school basketball league and have access to specialist strength and conditioning. Academy pupils can further develop their skills, specifically technical and tactical plays through fortnightly small group sessions “I played a lot of basketball back home in Hong Kong and being part of a team here at Bede’s has helped me get to know people outside of my boarding house. I love training and playing against other schools. When I look back on my life at Bede’s this will be a big part of it.”
