What you need to apply: You don’t need to have work experience but we are looking for people who can show the ability to work on their own initiative, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work co-operatively as part of a team. Also essential are effective organisation and administrative skills and a keen eye for detail. You'll have excellent numeracy skills, and an ability to work with spreadsheets and databases. You'll have a genuine interest in business and a passion to develop a career in business within the creative industry as well as enthusiasm for working at the BBC. In terms of academic qualifications, you're likely to have five GCSEs Grade A* - C and studied A Levels or a vocational qualification such as a BTEC. Don't worry if you don't have these, we are looking for creative, passionate people with great ideas, not necessarily people with academic qualifications. Farm Manager (Part time) The school has a small farm, restored to operation about four or five years ago. It is hugely popular with students as a club, and is now, for the first time, being used as a teaching facility for new Key Stage 4 (GCSE level) rural courses. The first of these, BTEC Animal Care launched this September. The farm currently has three sheep, about thirty chickens, and five guinea pigs. It has had several pigs in the past, and may add a donkey or goat or two in the near future. The buildings comprise of purpose built sties, a classroom, office, and stores. There is also a small agricultural area, with crop growing large poly tunnels, and a wildlife pond. The farm is a source of pride and real passion for the school, and due to a recent retirement we now have a need for a part-time Farm Manager to ensure that it is run professionally and reliably, with the animals welfare fully met along with all relevant legislation and good practice. We have two part-time helpers, and a teacher who provides a great deal of support as well as delivering the course. Etonbury Academy has a very strong team ethos, and staff and students are immensely supportive of each other and the school. 13

Part-Time (15 hours over 3 days) Autism Bedfordshire is an independent charity that provides a range of services to reduce social isolation and improve the quality of life for children, young people and adults with autism and their families in Bedfordshire. We are looking for a self-motivated, organised, and enthusiastic Finance Officer. Based in our offices in Bedford you will provide financial support to ensure the efficient running of the organisation. You will have two years relevant experience using Sage Line 50 or a similar accounting package. Good communication skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and keep accurate records are essential. Experience or knowledge of autism is desirable. You will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and ideally be working towards an AAT qualification in accounting. Main duties include: entering supplier invoices/ expenses; raising ad-hoc customer invoices; assisting in reconciling the bank accounts; paying suppliers in a timely manner, and entering the payment onto Sage; processing the group returns in a timely manner; monthly entering the employees payroll payments; monthly analysis of the debtors and creditors; Gift Aid analysis; entering journals into Sage; maintaining accurate petty cash records and ensuring that the petty cash is counted and reconciled on a monthly basis; provide a clear and transparent audit trail at all times. Salary in the range £17,706 – £19,750 pro rata, plus stakeholder pension. This is a part-time post working 15 hours per week spread over 3 days between the hours of 9.00am and 3.00pm.

Voluntary Visitor Services Officer - Herons View Visitor Centre The Greensand Trust relies on the support of volunteers to provide visitor information and services to visitors to Rushmere Country Park. The main responsibilitites of this role are to assist the Visitor Services Team to: • To engage with visitors ensuring they feel welcome and recognize how much we value their support. • Respond to visitor enquiries providing information and guidance to visitors, whilst also promoting the site and its activities • Process retail sales, parking, cycle and horse permit sales and donations The hours can be flexible and are managed on a rota system, working as part of a team of volunteers to provide visitor services whilst the centre is open. Relevant experience is helpful but not essential as training will be provided, however given the nature of the role it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and a positive and engaging attitude.
