Take life or work in a new direction… Discover a fascinating hobby or interest, develop skills to move on at work, or start training for a whole new career – however you’re looking to spend your spare time, turn it into time well spent with part-time study at Bedford College. Boost your career with qualifications across a range of professions Pick up new talents and new friends thanks to our short leisure courses Learn on your doorstep at locations throughout the local area Study around your busy lifestyle with day, evening or weekend courses Study now, pay later through a range of payment options and financial support Develop real-world skills that fit into work, using industry-class kit and facilities Get the professional edge, thanks to expert tutors with industry experience Your success, guaranteed – get your money back if you don’t pass*

Part-time works The success rate for our adult students is a huge 85% – well above the national average (79%) – which means part-time study with Bedford College could be your key to unlocking amazing new opportunities in life and work. In fact, nearly half of adult students who took a college qualification now have a better job or have received a promotion as a result of their course.** What’s more, after completing a part-time course… … the average salary increased by almost 3% – worth over £400 if you earn £15,000 per year! … almost two-thirds of adult students were more satisfied at work … four out of five adult students gained more self-confidence in their daily life. * We’re so confident our teaching and support will help you pass your course that if you meet all the entry requirements for your course, attend at least 90% of your lessons (or 95% for courses less than 23 weeks long), complete all of your coursework and/or exams on time but still do not pass your course, we will refund your fees in full. ** Source: all figures from Department for Business, Innovation & Skills Research Paper 104: ‘The Impact of Further Education Learning’, January 2013.

Don’t let money be a worry There are lots of easy to access ways to spread the cost of your course – which means a big investment in your future doesn’t have to mean a big hit on your bank balance. Low-interest loans – study now, pay later 24+ Advanced Learning Loan

Higher education loan

If you’re aged 24 or over on the start date of your chosen course, you can now apply for a loan to cover the tuition fees for some Level 3 or 4 qualifications. And with nothing to pay back until you’ve completed your course and you’re earning over £21,000 per year, a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan is a fantastic new way to make part-time study more affordable.

Low-interest loans are also available to pay the cost of the tuition fee for higher education courses (e.g. HNC/Ds and Foundation Degrees), with repayments starting after your studies are finished and only when your salary rises above £21,000. Look out for the HE symbol next to the course title to see if your chosen course is eligible for the loan.
