FILM
REVIEW Vivarium is a film that borders the line of thriller and horror, it feels like a thriller but the mood and tone of it is very much more on the horror side. The story is simple enough, a young couple are looking for a new home and are taken by an estate agent to view a house on a new estate. Vivarium is a terrific film with an outstanding couple of leads that keeps you involved and really does keep you guessing as to what the endgame will be. The makers have managed to create a seriously creepy mood with the look and the background music. You know something weird is going on very early on but they make sure not to let too much information come your way so that you are as much in the dark as the characters you are watching. I have seen many, many films so anything that keeps me wondering and catches me off guard is always going to be a potential winner with me but when it also manages to nail the ending and not end up a disappointment then I have nothing but fulsome praise. Vivarium is not a film for everyone but it sure is something a bit different. VIVARIUM Simon White

Save time, do it online bedford.gov.uk
Bedford Borough Council’s new website now features lots of online options, making it easier for local residents to get what they need from the Council and save time too.
All the council’s online options are displayed in the ‘Save time, do it online’ section on the website and there’s plenty to choose from.
Lots of us are already used to doing our shopping and banking online, and these new online services from the Council mean that residents can do lots more on the Council’s new website, at a time to suit them. The services are designed to be easy to use on phones and tablets as well as laptops and PCs.
The new online options also mean that your reports and requests are sent straight to front line teams who have been equipped with mobile devices. This means they can pick up and deal with new jobs
straight away, making the process quicker and more efficient.
The Council is committed to making services easy to access and has worked hard to make its online services easy to use. Support for those who need help to get online will continue to be available from the council’s Customer Services centre.
Dave Hodgson, Mayor of Bedford Borough said, “The Council is making it easier, quicker, and more convenient for residents to report problems, request or pay for Council services online at a time that suits. We are not finished yet, there is plenty more to come in the coming months to make it easier to save time by contacting the Council online. You can still get in touch with the Council in other ways, all the same channels as you can now. The aim is to cater for everyone.”
