Finally, as Britain comes out of lockdown, things are starting to stir at the Eyrie as The Eagles get their preparations underway for the new season due to begin on August 14th.

They have been bolstered with the news that the management team led by Gary Setchell will be remaining for the new campaign.

Some preseason fixtures have already been announced with the first a trip to Newport Pagnell Town on Tuesday July 7th. That will be followed on Saturday July 10th by the return to the Eyrie of popular coach Gordon Boateng who will bring with him his newly formed Hertford United team.

The Bedford Town news does not stop there as they have also announced recruitment details for their new academy due to begin in September, it will be open to 16-18 year old school leavers and will combine top level coaching with classroom based BTEC education.
