Sweet ’ Success DURING LOCKDOWN

Two young entrepreneurs, Chloe and Thomas Price, from Wixams have found an enterprising way to make the most of their time in lockdown by setting up their own company making and selling fudge, called Fujj.

“We made fudge for our mum’s birthday”, said Chloe “and it came out so well we decided to make different varieties and sell it.”

“We researched how to set up a company, registered with the council and worked out our branding” added Thomas, “we then set up our own website and Facebook page through our Dad’s account”.

The entrepreneurial pair run the company around their school work and have sold it as far-afield as Newcastle and Bristol, although most of what they sell is delivered for free to the Bedford area – on bike or on foot if possible. It’s proven popular as a gift as well as an indulgent treat with mouth-watering flavours on offer including Mmm-Teasers, Chunky Chocolate Caramel and Peanut Butter Delight.

“Running a business has taught them about marketing, profit and loss, and most importantly, customer service” said their parents. “It’s a great way to earn some money and gain valuable skills”

“Fujj is getting some great feedback online and we get lots of repeat custom”, Added Chloe, “so we will keep adding flavours and finding new ways to make our customers happy.”

You can visit Fujj at https://fujjcompany.square. site or their Facebook page facebook.com/fujjcompany.
