Who doesn’t love a train? There’s something about them that we all enjoy. The sound of the whistle brings memories back, but it’s the experience that creates memories for years to come. At the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, it’s a heritage to the past, a service to the present and a dream to the future, still to come.

THERE’S SOMETHING TRULY AMAZING about railroading. Something deep inside us that we can’t explain, we just understand. Holding a promise of something unexpected, something new around every bend in the track. The panorama of America on display outside the window - waving a greeting as your train rushes by. It’s the sound of a distant whistle. The rhythm of the wheels. The memories of your first childhood train trip. It’s relaxing and stimulating at the same time. But it’s also more. It’s a ticket home or a ticket to adventure. To new scenes passing by the window or to places well remembered. It’s more much than a way to get from here to

there, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
This year, come join us at the Golden Gate Railroad Museum. Experience the rush of seeing a vintage steam locomotive come to life or ride in a passenger car where if you listen carefully, you’ll insist you can hear the stories and tales of yesterday. In 1975 a group of dedicated volunteers brought this museum to life. We at Golden Gate Railroad Museum invite you to come visit us in 2010 and celebrate our 35th anniversary. Today the museum is alive and well with a bright outlook into the future. We'd also like to thank the Pacific Locomotive Association for their dedicated assistance to the museum. We look forward to seeing you sometime soon. All aboard!
