Shalom Hebrew School Families, Tanach Tournament: Congratulations to our Tanach Tournament participants who placed third at the Supplementary School Tournament this past Sunday! You worked very hard and now you can look forward to the Chidon! Kabbalat Shabbat: Next Kabbalat Shabbat service will be on: Friday, February 11th. Save the date! Welcome Shabbat with song and joy! Service will take place at the Beit Midrash (sanctuary) in Tanenbaum CHAT on the Lebovic Campus, 9600 Bathurst Street, Vaughan. Everyone is welcome and we extend a special invitation to our Grade 2 and 3 students and their families to participate in the Kabbalat Shabbat Service. 6:00 pm: Light refreshments 6:30 pm: Service. Sponsor Your Child’s Kabbalat Shabbat Service: If you would like to sponsor an upcoming Kabbalat Shabbat service, please contact Grace at 905-889-0276 x 32 or email her at school@beitrayim.org. Tax receipts are issued for donations of $18 or more, and more than one family can sponsor a Service. School Council Meetings: Monthly School Council meetings will be held on Sundays from 9:30 to 11am on the following dates: February 13, March 27, April 17 and May 8. We look forward to see you this Sunday. Jewish National Fund of Canada – Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel: On Sunday, January 16th, our students received an envelope from JNF with the purpose of donating to plant trees in Israel. If you didn’t send it back to school yet, please complete the form and give it back to the teacher on the next school day. Thanks. Zareinu – Tzedekah Box: Zareinu is celebrating 20 years of helping over 1,000 children and families in our community. You and your family can help mark this special occasion by participating in The Great Zareinu Tzedekah Box Program. Please send the Tzedakah Box back to BRHS no later than Sunday, March 6th because at Purim, we will give the Tzedekah Boxes back to Zareinu. Please mark your name and address on the Tzedekah Box to receive a tax receipt.
