Shalom Hebrew School Families, Reminder: Back to school: Kindergarten and Grade 1: Sunday, January 9th Grade 2 to 7: Thursday, January 6th Report Cards: Fall Report Cards will be emailed to parents in January. Stay tuned for more details. School Books: Please remember that school books should be returned to school by the end of the year in good shape so other students can take advantage of them. If you want to keep the books for your personal library or if the books are not in good enough condition to be re-used then there is a fee to pay for them. The books meant to be written in don’t have to be returned. Thanks for your cooperation. Drop off: Due to popular demand, the Ross Doan front door (on the North side of the building, close to our Grade 1 classroom) will be unlocked on Thursdays from 5:15 to 5:30 pm and then they will be locked after that. In this way parents have a door for the kiss and ride. This door will not be unlocked for the end of the day on Thursdays and Sundays. Thanks for your feedback! We are always working to make BRHS a great experience for everybody. School cancellations: We have a phone chain that will contact you in the event of a cancellation. However, it is always faster to check our Facebook page to see if we have a school cancellation due bad weather conditions. School Council Meetings: We would like to thank Steven Osiel for his hard work as the School Team Leader and we would like to welcome Steffi Goodfield who now will take on this position. Monthly School Council meetings are held on Sundays from 9:30am to 11am on the following dates: January 9, February 13, March 27, April 17 and May 8. Happy New Year! I hope you have all had some time to relax and enjoy your families! My name is Steffi Goodfield and I am the new Chair of Beit Rayim’s Parent Council. There is always so much to learn along with our children and I hope you will let me help to be your guide and your voice! The Parent Council is open to any thoughts or concerns you may have. Of course our Council is only as good as the parents who join, so be part of your child’s Jewish education and experience! You are always welcome to sit in on any of our meetings which will be held at the school one Sunday a month, as per the calendar. Our next meeting will be January 9th from 9:30am to 10:30am. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday at the School Council meeting. Steffi School Office Hours: Grace is away from the office until January 5th.
