Grade 3 - Family Education Day: Siddur Geography Grade 3 Family Education Day is on Sunday, November 7th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Gym. We invite all Grade 3 parents to participate in this learning experience. Kabbalat Shabbat CHANGE OF DATE!!!: Our first Hebrew School Kabbalat Shabbat service will be on: Friday, November 12th. The date was changed because the Synagogue heard about all of the preparation that our 6's and 7's have been doing and they have invited them to show off by leading the service for the synagogue community as well. Save the date! Welcome Shabbat with song and joy! Everyone is welcome. Service will take place at the North Thornhill Community Centre, 300 Pleasant Ridge Avenue, Thornhill Woods. 6:00 pm: Light refreshments and 6:30 pm: Service. We extend a special invitation to our Grade 6 and 7 students and their families to participate in the Kabbalat Shabbat Service. Please RSVP to the school office by Monday, November 8th. Sponsor Your Child’s Kabbalat Shabbat Service: If you would like to sponsor an upcoming Kabbalat Shabbat service, please contact Grace at 905-889-0276 x 32 or email her at school@beitrayim.org. Tax receipts are issued for donations of $18 or more, and more than one family can sponsor a Service. All proceeds go to the Hebrew School Fund. Reminder: There is no school on Thursday, November 11th due Ross Doan parent-teacher meetings. There is no school on Sunday, November 14th because of PD Day for Hebrew supplementary schools. Parking Lot Reminder: Handicap parking spots are for people with valid handicap stickers on their car. We have some parents who need these spots but can't access them because they are being used by parents without stickers. Please be extra mindful of this when visiting our school. Happy Birthday! Sunday, November 7th at 3:00 pm at Dufferin Clark Public Library 1441 Clark Avenue West , Vaughan Join the PJ Library and Beit Rayim Synagogue and School as we connect with communities from all over the world in celebrating the Global Day of Jewish Learning. Story teller and Beit Rayim School teacher Shirley Reichberg will engage children not only through the telling of the story, but also through fun, learning activities. For more details click here.
