August 17, 2011 Dear Beit Rayim Members, At your Synagogue, we have been busy planning and organizing for the High Holy Days and the many programs our various committees will be presenting in the months ahead. We got off to a very successful membership renewal campaign in July. Our office staff has been busy answering questions from both current members and those looking for a synagogue to join, or a Hebrew School for their children. Membership retention and membership growth are vital to our future. Our Leadership Team and Board of Directors have exciting plans for our congregation as we expand our move on the Lebovic Campus which began last December. Membership growth will help us attain our goals faster. In the next few weeks, we will be placing advertisements in local Jewish community newspapers. Many people will read about Beit Rayim; some perhaps for the first time. We have developed a specially priced introductory membership package and an information kit. All this is important, but we need your help too! We all love walking into a room where we know so many of the people present. It makes us feel welcome and comfortable. This is why our Beit Rayim community is so special - the feeling we get when we are all together, whether it is on the holidays, Shabbat, at a synagogue fundraising event, or in the carpool line at the Hebrew School. We know each other, we like each other, and we enjoy each other’s company. That’s why we are all potential participants in the Beit Rayim membership committee! We therefore simply need you to refer your family and friends for membership. To emphasize the importance of this, we are prepared to reward you for your efforts. For each successful referral a $100 credit will be applied towards your account. This can be used to pay for dues or future programs at Beit Rayim. Simply encourage anyone you know who is interested in synagogue membership to call or email our office (905.889.0276 or shalom@beitrayim.org). We will answer any questions they have and send them a Welcome Package, which outlines all of the programs and services that makes your membership in Beit Rayim so special. When they join, they can take advantage of our new, one year membership incentive program, and you will receive your credit. Our new membership incentive is quite simple: we are offering new families the opportunity to join Beit Rayim for $720. They will receive all of our publications, High Holy Day tickets, access to great adult and youth programs, a discount for the Hebrew School for their children, and an opportunity to book their child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah 10 months in advance. (Attached is a flyer which may help you explaining the basics.) Please help us grow our Beit Rayim family by referring your family and friends. And don’t forget to inform everyone that we will be at the Lebovic Campus community BBQ on August 25th at 5:30pm. You will find us under our welcome tent!
