Proposal 1_Groundway for connecting Hamar References:

Itaewon. Neighborhood in South Korea where different kind of people live. the interesting aspect is that each of the groups have their own buildings and just the streets are the places of connection. Each user has a different image.

The use simple elements like colourful chairs, which people can move and so, they can create their own space, depending on the sun the interactions that they produce or even they can use in any other way.

Strategy:

1. Using the strategic location as a connector:

The door of the see The middle point of the culture The end or the begging of the commerce A connection point for bikes and boats

2. Working in two levels. On the ground... -Same pavement for unifying and linking the different paths. (All the interesting places in Hamar, close to Sottorget, are connected)

- Creating thematic walks linked with the light (Different image of Hamar for people with different interests)

On the sky... - Transforming into a information point. Everything that is happening in Hamar is registered in Stotorget and with screens is shown to the inhabitants.

Proposal 2_Flexible device for extending the life of Stotorget References: Haebang-chon in Yongsan-dong.

Neighborhood in South Korea where the american army settled. Since the very begging they were a symbiotic organism that took from them water and energy but also gave them medical and education services, so they develop as acollaborative system

Song-do New City There is a new city close to Seoul that it has been developed because the airport. It is a really good example of how an infrastructure could be linked with an urban development, and so we have translated that into our proposal

Dongdaemun Market

Market in South Korea where the sense of market is given by all the invisible infrastructure. In that sense we have picked up the idea of changeble infrastructure, that as it changes the meaning of the space also changes.

Proposal 3_Densifying voids for increasing the

use of Stotorget

Mullae.

Neighborhood in South Korea. Traditionally was a place where frame workshops were located, but nowadays most of them have moved away and, few by a few artist have settle in there. The structure is the most interesting aspect: Production + Exhibition and Exchange in different levels

Apartment Comlpex in Ichon-dong.

Neighborhood in South Korea that it is full of minimal size apartments. By this development the Korean creates neighborhoods with lots of life becuase are really densify, and it also let them a vaste open space for social interactions.

Proposal 4_The duality as a way for creating 2 Stotorget in 1 place References:

Nodle Island.

Teheranno.

Neighborhood in South Korea. The main characteristic is one neighborhood tw faces. The live together two opposite activities just separate by a wall but they could are devoloping in the same kind of space

Bouwpub.

There is an old building in the Faculty of Architecture of the TU Delft that has been rebuilt. Students are the responsables of their minimal self management of the place. They use it for getting money and so reduing prices of the architectural semester trip.
