A WISH, INC. serves as the philanthropic partner of Gamma Mu Omega. The corporation is a separate entity with its own board of directors who are responsible for the oversite of the corporation. A WISH, INC. is a not-for profit, 501(c)(3) corporation funded through private donors, corporate sponsors, grants and various fundraising activities. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The purpose of A WISH, INC. is to provide life-enhancing programs and opportunities, as well as monetary assistance to women, children and families to acquire and sustain essential life skills, more specifically: a) b)

To aid, support and assist Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Gamma Mu Omega Chapter, in providing programs, services and materials beyond its internal resources. To raise the economic, educational and social levels of the women, children and families of Volusia County who are in need of educational, financial, and support services. To encourage and accept, by bequest of gifts, donations, grants, services and other appropriate assistance, which can enhance the corporation’s purpose and the quality of life of citizens in the support area.
