Economic Science Association Preconference Workshop
GENERAL INFORMATION Join us for the pre-ESA workshop on Experimental Economics and Entrepreneurship, sponsored by the Belk College of Business of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The workshop will begin the morning of October 18, 2023, and end at lunchtime on October 19, 2023 (the welcome event for the main ESA conference begins the evening of October 19). The workshop is meant to promote partnerships between economic experimenters and scholars studying entrepreneurship and to expose graduate students and recent Ph.D. graduates to the benefits and challenges of research at the intersection of experimental economics and entrepreneurship. The workshop will include presentations by senior scholars in entrepreneurship and experimental economics as well as presentations by more junior scholars. The conference is designed to encourage participants to interact and hopefully discuss ideas for future projects. The confirmed speakers are: • • • • • • • • • • • •

The campus bus system can be used free of charge. The Silver loute runs from the CRI Deck 1 (which is across the street from the hotel) directly to the Popp Martin Student Union. The walk is approximately 0.8 miles from the Marriott to the Student Union — about a 17 minute walk. The Passio Go! app can be used to identify the location of the buses. Passio Go! is available to download on Apple and Google Play. When prompted to select an agency, look for “UNC Charlotte Niner Transit.”
