Is the GMAT or GRE required for admission? The GMAT or GRE is required for admission to the MAFI program. However, candidates who meet certain criteria may qualify for a GMAT/GRE waiver. Visit mathfinance.uncc.edu for more information. Do I need an undergraduate math degree to enter the M.S. in Mathematical Finance program? No you do not. We accept students with a variety of undergraduate majors, including finance, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, accounting, actuarial science, computer science, and others. Is the program offered in person or online? All M.S. in Mathematical Finance courses are only offered in person. Based on student feedback, the face-to-face interaction of the classes, connections built with professors and networking opportunities in Charlotte are a distinct benefit of the Belk College of Business graduate programs.
