A Letter from the Head Editor Sanford Inscape 2023

As editors of Inscape, we look towards the future with optimism individually, globally, and for our community. However, we also feel it is paramount to live in the present and to honor each venture in life with gratitude and contentment. So for 2023 Inscape magazine, we are pleased to present a collection of cycles to represent one's life: descent, rebirth, and solstice. Through the skillful work of our community members, inscribed in the pages are sadness, grief, and loneliness; but also hope and joy.

This issue serves as a reminder that each cycle is just that; a time, a memory, or an echo of who we once were. As such, these times do not define us but teach us lessons to further our individuality and respect for ourselves and the community.

Every submission, whether anonymous or not, has made a profound impact on the editorial team. The authors graciously shared something deeply personal: their creative endeavors for us as a team and for the eternal world of print. We are grateful for their willingness and their shared love for art and writing.
