iGuzzini

The need for extremely well-designed fittings arises when light has the task of indicating passageways, pointing out obstacles, demarcating borders, and creating scenery as well as safety. These fittings need to be pleasing to the eye but above all they need to have a wide range of possible lighting solutions. The design of iWay is innovative: square or round, with an elegant base on the bottom, which makes the structure less heavy yet does not take away from the solidity and safety of the fitting. The cap, the polycarbonate screen, the completely flush structure, and the absence of visible screws define iWay’s essential, linear, and clean style.

The iWay system was designed with an innovative patented optic which elevates visual comfort and guarantees an excellent photometric distribution. The 360° light flow, an innovative feature designed by J.M.Wilmotte, can be contained or guided with special orientation screens that can restrict the emission as reduced angles or as a thin blade of light. Louvres are available, which improve aesthetic quality and which serve to limit upward lighting. Discharge versions supply an extra level of visual comfort because of the way the lamp holder is designed and because of the positioning of the lamp inside.

Pencil is either circular or rectangular, and its looks are emphasized by the vertical cut of the micro-perforated diffusing screens, which can be single or double. They can in fact have one-way emission or two-way emission. The louvre diminishes the upward flow and increases visual comfort. The optical system is a concentrate of technology and performance and was amply researched and tested. It has an opening of approximately 120°. The Pencil fittings are an evolution of optics that were already applied to other types of fittings destined for outdoor architectural lighting.

PATHWAY LIGHTING FOR PUBLIC AREAS iGuzzini

• Direct lighting luminaire, for use with metal halide, compact fluorescent, and LED lamps. • Installed into the ground. • iWay has a body and a lamp compartment. • Body is either cylindrical or parallelepiped available in different heights and sections, made of extruded aluminium, with a chromeplating and surface paint treatment. There are three stainless steel rods on the inside that are secured to the base, making iWay shock-resistant. The base is secured to the ground and made of die-cast aluminium alloy with a low copper content and it is corrosion-resistant. The polycarbonate diffuser is fastened to the control gear box via an internal die-cast aluminium fastening ring. The lamp cover is made of aluminium sheet and can hold accessories. The die-cast aluminium cover hooks onto a ring that has undergone chrome-plating and painting. The external cover is made of die-cast aluminium with a bayonet type closure system, secured via a gear (for the circular versions). The bolt can be removed only with a special wrench, to be ordered separately.

The square versions have a closure system with two gears. The ultrapure aluminium reflector is secured to the internal end cap. • Die-cast aluminium control gear box (for the 170 mm versions) or extruded aluminium control gear box (for the 90 mm versions). Pull-out control gear plate is housed on the inside, secured to the box with captive screws; electrical connections easily disconnected. Power supply with a non-explosive power factor correction capacitor, automatic starter. A fuse box is available upon request (only for large version). Box for cables (available upon request) with double cableclamp PG11 for pass through cables. • Anchor base has Dakromet-treated clamps, which are an extra guarantee against corrosion (to be ordered separately). • Maximum surface temperature of all accessible parts is 75° C. • All external screws are A2 stainless steel. • The technical characteristics of the fitting comply with EN60598-1 standard. • IP66 IK10 • IMQ-ENEC approval • Class of Insulation II
