Keynote Speaker Eddie Olczyk Eddie Olczyk, a television broadcaster, former player and coach for the National Hockey League (NHL), and racehorse owner is the Conference Keynote Speaker.

Olczyk played 16 seasons on seven teams in the NHL. He scored 342 goals and record 794 points in 1,031 games. The third overall selection in the 1984 Entry Draft, he was on the 1984 U.S. Olympic hockey team, won a Stanley Cup with the 1994 New York Rangers, and is a member of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. He joined the Pittsburgh Penguins game broadcasts for Fox Sports and also served as head coach of the Penguins from 2003 to 2005. Olczyk’s first horse racing broadcast Eddie Olczyk was in 1994. Years TV Commentator, NHL Player and Coach, later, in his 2014 Racing Enthusiast debut as a horse racing analyst on NBC Sports, Olczyk distinguished himself by confidently picking two longshot winners on the telecast. He since has become a staple on coverage of the Breeders’ Cup and he became a part of the Triple Crown coverage in 2015.

Aftercare specialists focus in on the retraining and re-homing of retired Thoroughbred racehorses -- known as Off the Track Thoroughbreds (OTTB). You’ll hear about this inspiring work and see actual demonstrations of how OTTBs are making a difference in their second careers.
