Music is a major source of inspiration for me, especially heavy metal. Motörhead’s trademark album Ace of Spades portrays the true essence of metal - dirty, fast, and dangerous.
Rebranding the album’s design as a special edition, I kept the music’s gritty appeal in mind. he rough textures, desert-inspired colors, and slab serif typefaces recall the “wild west” themes of gunslinging and debauchery seen in the original sleeve art.
h.p. lovecraft
Mysterious and macabre, H.P. Lovecraft’s stories create an atmosphere that lingers beyond the page. Taking elements and symbols from a selection of Lovecraft’s stories, I wanted to illustrate the allure of his writings with this series of book jackets. Utilizing drippy inks, watercolors and creepy typography, this collection is an eerie introduction to his mythos.
aumbry
Aumbry is a concept for a contemporary jewelry boutique, offering high quality, yet affordable pieces made by independent jewelry designers. Originating from the Old French word “amarie”, meaning closet or chest, its aesthetic is sleek and minimal, yet earthy and inviting. his is seen in all aspects of branding, from geometric type and shapes, to a color palette drawn from gemstones.

mineral mountains
Mineral Mountains is a showcase for Mohawk Paper Company’s collection of Loop papers. his promotional book juxtaposes the paper’s broad range of colors and inishes with vast mineral landscapes that are captured by macrophotography. Each paper sample is die-cut to compliment the natural grooves of the stones.

he symbolism and mystic quality of reading tarot cards can be enticing, and Tarotea is a brand that makes the tea drinking experience even more memorable. Each tea blend is inspired by a tarot card and is tied with an illustrated card and a crystal sugar stick. Drinkers can take their experience even further with the user-friendly app to make more tea predictions.

During my internship with Universal Music Group Nashville, Chris Stapleton was unique for his soulful songwriting which recalled classic country music that I grew up with. Given the opportunity to design his website, I kept the look and sound of his debut album Traveller in mind. I incorporated a gunmetal color palette and western-inspired typefaces to create a streamlined responsive layout.

Purple Dragon is a community acupuncture studio that provides a space where people gather for low-cost, high quality acupuncture. he hands allude to a constant cycle of care and renewal, adhering to the studio’s mission.
he Blind Tiger is a speakeasy-style bar complete with sophisticated cocktails and a mysterious atmosphere. Taking inspiration from 1920’s typography, the logo evokes a classic, yet contemporary edge.
Clover is a Nashville dance night that features local musical artists. Neon signs and lights inspired this logo, seen with simple, tubular shapes and a pop of bright color.
