Client Testimonials I reached out to you during the most stressful time of life for both my loved ones and myself - horror had occurred to my dear loving mother. My mom had fractured her hip and due to her frail health and advanced age required risky hip replacement surgery. Many issues legal and otherwise arose which I could not personally resolve. You not only resolved each and every one, but you continue to do so now, over 4 years later. You always display extreme sincerity, compassion and friendship, using your vast experience and confidence in your ability, to continually bring satisfaction, positive results and a tremendous sense of relief and comfort to my loved ones and myself. You have gone out of your way to visit Mom on multiple occasions in her Nursing house and we love you for it. As an attorney, friend, and a great man, I could not possibly hope to know anyone more phenomenal. The three greatest men I have ever known are my dear departed father, my dear departed father-in-law and Ely Rosenzveig. – Jeff D. I hired Ely to assist with my parents estate planning and it was a wise decision. He is a true expert in navigating through complex elder care law and procedures. His guidance was invaluable and his communication excellent. I would strongly recommend his services.

Seniors snow shoveling tips Snowstorms are great fun for kids, but for seniors who own their own home, they mean it’s time for the dreaded shoveling, complete with aching backs and cold fingers and toes. Shoveling snow is an energetic physical activity and is comparable to lifting weights quickly and with many repetitions. On average 1,200 people a year die as a result of shoveling snow, according to statistics on the Harvard Medical School’s Web site, www.health.harvard.edu. Health experts say people 50 and older should try to avoid shoveling snow. The best idea is to get someone to shovel for you. Seniors looking for help in finding someone to hire to shovel the snow might try calling a local community facility, church or teen center. Purchasing a snow blower also should be considered. If you must shovel, take it easy. Take breaks often. Wherever possible, push the snow rather than lift it. Most importantly, listen to your body. Head inside if you experience potential signs of heart trouble, including chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, light-headedness, or nausea.
For seniors who decide to shovel snow, here are some tips to help you stay healthy during shoveling season: • Begin with a five- to 10-minute warmup. Take a brief walk or march in place. Add arm movements and stretching your back to warm up the upper body. • Dress appropriately. Wearing layers allows you to adjust to the temperature outside. Cover your skin to prevent frostbite. • Use a small shovel that has a curved handle. A shovel with wet snow can weigh up to 15 pounds. • Separate your hands on the shovel. By creating space between your hands, you can increase your leverage on the shovel. • Lift with your legs, not your back. Make sure your knees are bending and straightening to lift instead of leaning forward and straightening with the back. • Shovel frequently. Don’t wait till the snow piles up. Shovel intermittently, about every two inches.

We have one thing to say to the Holiday blues, good riddance! People sometimes talk about seniors having the senior blues. Well, you have the wrong crowd. This is the Boomers and Beyond set. We don’t know the blues, whether it’s Christmas, Thanksgiving or any given day in March. Remember this: Holidays represent happy times spent with family and friends, honoring cherished traditions, attending parties and spreading holiday cheer. Some of the warmest, most favored memories are born during this time of year. In part, because of you. And just in case you feel a case of the Holiday blues coming on, try some of these activities with family or friends: Playing a favorite game or cooking a special meal together. Attending a holiday musical together or simply listening to holiday tunes. Baking holiday treats together can be as much fun as eating them afterward. Sharing past memories with younger family members. Sounds like a lot of fun, doesn’t it? This is going to be another wonderful Holiday season. Why? Because of seniors such as you!

Visiting Development Care Group, LLC—Let us Care for the One you Love By Viviana DeCohen After years of having cared for my Wonderful surrogate Grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimers/Dementia in 1993, I can truly say that “Love is never a burden, it is an honor.” Simultaneously, my husband was helping to care for his aunt who had the same diagnosis. Now we find ourselves in the seat of honor again as we have
been caring for my mother-in-law who was diagnosed with Dementia 3 years ago. We did not hesitate to bring her home and begin her new journey. This journey has led us to where we are now. We are so happy to present The Visiting Development Care Group, LLC. A service owned and operated by “Caregivers” who have been in the Home and Healthcare field for more than 20 years.

“Dancing around the Issue” Submitted by Rev. Viviana DeCohen On Saturday October 19, 2013 The Women’s Ministry and The Health and Wellness Team at Mt. Vernon Heights Congregational Church, 258 S. Columbus Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY under the direction of Pastor DeCohen had a Breast Cancer Awareness Day entitled “ Pep Up with check Ups”. Of the many wonderful vendors and participants, three-year Breast cancer survivor, Marion Archer stood out. You see Marion is the Choreographer and Director of a dynamic dance troupe known as “The Revelators”.
Performing all over the nation, “The Revelators” came into being as an afterschool program developed by Marion to target the youth in the inner cities to deter behavior that could ultimately lead to poor grades, teenage pregnancy, drugs and crime. Charging just twenty five cents a week, she opened her arms and her heart to children of all ethnic backgrounds who still hail her as “Madame Matriarch”.

How Can A Physical Therapist Help You? The History of Physical Therapy The start of modern physical therapy can be traced back to World War I, when the United States Army began to train "reconstruction aides" to work with wounded soldiers. These days, physical therapists (PTs) still work with veterans, but they also work with children, seniors, professional athletes, weekend warriors, those with serious life altering traumatic injuries, and those with simple strains/sprains from just plain overuse to name a few. Some PTs help people with disabilities optimize their movement and abilities, and others help people recover after surgery. What Can A Physical Therapist Do For You? The practice of physical therapy is backed by research and evidence. PTs use proven techniques to help people: • Recover from surgery • Heal after an injury • Optimize mobility and physical function
Common Physical Therapy Specialties Since there are so many ways to apply the art of physical therapy, it is not uncommon for therapists to focus on a particular practice area. • Orthopedic PTs (OCS) focus on helping people heal after surgery or injury. This is the type of PT that comes to mind for most people. • Geriatric PTs (GCS) help people keep active as they age, by maintaining their flexibility, strength, and balance. It can be especially useful for people with osteoporosis, arthritis, balance problems, or recent knee or hip replacement. • Cardiopulmonary PTs (CCS) work with patients who have heart, lung, and vascular conditions. They often help clients recovering from heart attacks, heart/lung surgeries, and chronic conditions such as COPD, cystic fibrosis, and asthma. • Neurological PTs (NCS) work with people who have suffered neurological damage from a head or neck injury, vestibular disorders, stroke, or individuals living with chronic neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson's disease. Ten Ways to Make Christmas and Hanukkah Memorable for Seniors ■ Deck the halls. Carting out those favorite holiday ornaments isn’t always possible for an older adult with a bad back or weak muscles. Neither is stringing the lights or hanging the ornaments. Make it a great multigenerational activity by sending over the grandkids or greatgrandchildren. ■ Send holiday greetings. The handwritten Christmas card is one of the most popular traditions of this generation of seniors. Why not lend a hand and offer to spend an afternoon writing greetings? If that’s not possible, an online photo greeting card can be just as good (and save the cost of cards and stamps). ■ Celebrate the reason for the season. Faith and holiday programs bring much joy to the lives of older adults. Be flexible and change traditions if necessary. For instance, attend early Christmas Eve service, not midnight Mass.
Caregivers looking to give their senior loved one something special this holiday season don’t need a big budget or a creative gift list. What seniors want the most could simply be assistance with those holiday preparations and activities.
■ Stay connected. The holidays can be a sad time for those seniors separated from their families. Help an older adult connect with loved ones far away with the latest technology, such as Skype. ■ Give the gift of time. Sometimes all an older adult wants is companionship, whether it’s a few moments of the day or a driving tour to view holiday lights.
Compassionate, comprehensive & customized services • Medication Management • Escort to and from Appointments • Bathing Services • Companions/Sitters • Grocery Shopping/Errands
■ Shop — but not until you drop! Conditions such as macular degeneration, which lead to poor eyesight and the inability to drive, can make shopping difficult for older adults. Why not make it a special event to look forward to by taking your older adult to a favorite store or make online shopping an experience he or she won’t forget? Tune into seniors’ limitations and don’t overdo.
■ Make a special delivery. Arthritis can make wrapping those holiday presents a challenge; so too can shipping gifts to loved ones afar. Why not schedule a gift-wrapping afternoon, complete with hot chocolate, cookies and plenty of family stories?
■ Focus on others. Volunteering to assist others can help seniors focus on someone else’s needs other than their own. Get the entire family involved in gathering supplies for a homeless shelter or serving a holiday meal.
Caregivers are licensed & bonded • Home Health Aides • Personal Care Aides • 24 hour Live-In Aides • RNs & LPNs
The following are 10 gifts that could thrill senior loved ones — they’re desires that probably won’t show up on any gift wish lists:
■ Keep food traditions alive. Food can play such an important role in the holidays for seniors. If an older adult can no longer cook the traditional holiday meal, why not offer to carry on the tradition, asking the senior to help where he or she can help with a nice Hanukkah dinner?
■ Sing along. Caroling is a fun activity for most any age. Why not get a group of your senior loved one’s friends together to serenade other older adults in an assisted living facility or nursing home?

DO YOU WANT YOUR MONEY TO GO TO YOUR FAMILYINSTEAD OF TO THE NURSING HOME? THEN A TRUST IS A MUST! A trust is a contract between the Grantor (who creates the trust), the Trustee (who administers the trust) and the beneficiaries (who benefit from the trust). You, as Grantor, determine how the trust will be operated by the Trustee and who benefits, how and when. While a Revocable (Living) Trust permits you to maintain full control (as Trustee) and have access to all your assets (as beneficiary), a Revocable Trust only avoids the expense and delay of probating your assets, it does not protect your assets from creditors. An Irrevocable Trust avoids the expense and delay of probate and protects your assets from creditors. It immediately protects your assets from lawsuits & other creditors, and can enable you to promptly qualify for Medicaid-paid home health care aides to care for you at home if you are disabled due to age or illness. After the principal is in the trust for five (5) years, it is completely protected from being lost to nursing home costs. However, the protection accumulates month to month, so the sooner you put the asset in the trust, the sooner it is protected. In addition, you can transfer your assets to the trust and

ATTORNEYS AT LAW Many Years of Experience Protecting the Legal Interests of the Elderly & Special Needs Populations
Why should I spend money hiring attorneys to do asset protection planning for me and my loved ones? Currently, the monthly cost for nursing home care in New York ranges between $10,000-$15,000, and properly certified home health attendants (nurse aides) can cost as much or more for round- the-clock home care. Statistically, it is likely that most people will need either or both of these care options as they grow older. It is critical that you plan appropriately to best minimize the strain that elder care costs may have on your estate, and to help put you in the best position possible to qualify for benefits that are largely covered by the government, under Medicare or Medicaid. Our firm has attorneys with extensive experience in developing tax-effective action plans for our clients that help protect their assets from government imposition. We have also been very successful in negotiating the complex bureaucratic minefield in which Medicaid is now mired. We have achieved remarkable results for our clients on a host of Medicaid related issues, from obtaining Medicaid approvals for coverage of home care and institutional care benefits, to very accommodative resolutions of Medicaid spousal recovery claims, where the office of Medicaid aggressively pursues the non-institutionalized (i.e., or “community”) spouse for Medicaid benefits provided.
Why should I have a lawyer prepare my will? If you die without a Will, the law, not you, determines how your assets are divided and to whom they are given. A poorly drafted Will may result in a sizeable chunk of your assets not ending up where you want them to go. We are an experienced law firm that can expertly craft your will to address your long-term care, tax, estate planning, and asset protection planning issues. It is in your best interest that planning be done properly so as to minimize the tax burden on your estate. Our experience and skill in the fields of Trusts, Wills, and Estates enables our firm to uniquely tailor estate planning to your individual needs. We will review your entire estate and draft a personalized plan that will best direct the disposition of your assets after death, whether through your Will, or by means of testamentary substitutes (trusts, joint-asset ownership with right of survivorship, or by beneficiary designation in life insurance policies, annuities, or individual retirement accounts).
My father is having difficulty caring for himself. I am afraid he will no longer be able to live on his own. I am worried about finding the money to pay for his care, whether he stays at home or moves to an assisted living facility or nursing home. What do I do?

Why aging brings more tears in men Health issues and medications: Stroke, heart disease, cancer and other health conditions can lead to depression. Unfortunately, some medications designed to fight these health issues can worsen depressive symptoms. These include certain blood pressure medicines (e.g., clonidine), high-cholesterol drugs (e.g., Lipitor and Zocor), painkillers and other arthritis drugs, and some heart medications.
Society sees men as the tough guys. Essentially, when a man cries, he’s told not to, but a woman is consoled. So men reserve tears for a major loss. But it’s hard to be stoic as men get older. Age brings with it hormonal changes that influence crying as well as less concern about what others think. The good news is that crying provides emotional release. Depending on the circumstances, it can improve mood and reduce tension. It can also show the world you’re sensitive and sympathetic. And, frankly, it may be out of your control.

Here’s a list of reasons why older men cry more than they’re used to:
UĂŠ 6ÂˆĂŒ>Â“ÂˆÂ˜ĂŠ ĂŠĂ•Ăƒi`ĂŠ>ĂƒĂŠ>Â˜ĂŠÂˆÂ˜ĂŒĂ€>Ă›iÂ˜ÂœĂ•ĂƒĂŠ`Ă€ÂˆÂŤĂŠÂ“>ĂžĂŠÂŽÂˆÂ?Â?ĂŠV>˜ViÀÊViÂ?Â?ĂƒĂŠÂˆÂ˜ĂŠ ĂŠ >`Ă›>˜Vi`ĂŠV>˜ViÀ°ÊÊ Â˜ĂŒÂˆV>˜ViÀÊ,iĂƒÂ°ĂŠĂ“Ă¤Ă¤Â™ĂŠ UĂŠ ĂŠ ĂŠ ĂŠ ĂŠ ĂŠ
Men “let their guard down as they age: Men simply feel more comfortable crying in front of others as they get older. They’re not as concerned about their spot on the macho scale. So men cry more as a natural reaction to different situations (sad or happy). Hormonal changes: As men reach middle age, their testtosteron levels decline. Frustrating or sad situations that might have driven a man to anger in the past may now move him to tears. Previous trauma: Dwelling on past emotional pain can incite sad feelings for women and men. Plus, it can produce even more hurt, building up a well of emotions to release.

Depression, anxiety or mental illness due to aging: Getting older, in and of itself, can produce bouts of depression as seniors grapple with the notion of end-of-life. Experiencing the loss of friends and loved ones only makes matters worse. Seniors with mental illness may also show signs of depression or experience mood changes that cause them to cry more easily. Social isolation: Living alone can lead to feelings of social isolation. Seniors who no longer drive may be giving up social outings and other opportunities to connect with people. As those feelings of isolation endure, seniors may lose their sense of purpose.

Table for one: Hidden Dangers of seniors eating alone Tips for Encouraging Seniors to Eat Make sure they have a comfortable place to eat; set out a nice placemat and linen napkin, or fresh flowers. Have a picnic in the park. Find a neighbor or friend for your loved one to eat with on a regular basis-have them take turns cooking or cook together. Start (or have your loved one start) a potluck dinner club. Have your loved one join a mall walker program (they often have breakfast with others in the group after their walks). Have breakfast for dinner, or dinner for breakfast. When cooking, make extra, then freeze in single servings. Make sure to label not only what it is, but cooking instructions as well, so no one has to go hunting for cooking or reheating instructions later.

Weight Loss After her grandmother lost a considerable amount of weight in just a few months, Gretchen Kenney insisted that she move in with her and her husband, David, in Shoreline, Washington. "She lost like 40 pounds, she just stopped eating," Kenney explains. "Part of it was her health, her arthritis; she couldn't get around very easily. She was just depressed and didn't want to eat." After moving in with the Kenneys, her grandmother slowly put some of that weight back on. "I make sure that she gets a much better balance," Kenney says. "Given what she wants, she would be happy with sweets and carbohydrates. She will ask for vegetables mostly because she thinks she should have them."

In this fast-paced world, few families make time to eat together anymore. And because eating alone-and on the go-is becoming more common, nutrition usually suffers. That may be especially true for seniors. Cooking for one person can be harder because they have to scale down recipes. Instead of stimulating dinner conversation, the television becomes the other person at the table. While many seniors are very active, others don't have the energy or ability to prepare meals for themselves. Some may have never set foot in the kitchen, or can no longer prepare complex meals.
Keep a list of what's in the freezer or fridge on the refrigerator door; it's easier to plan a meal when your loved one knows what she has. Encourage your loved one to eat congregate meals at the local senior center Sign up for elderly programs like Meals on Wheels www.mowaa.org/ If finances are not an issue, hire a personal chef to create a week's worth of meals for the fridge and freezer, or contact a gourmet meal delivery service. If your loved one has trouble chewing, puree several pieces of fruit, and add a little protein powder, for a shake full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Make more than one serving and put the rest in the freezer for later.

Winter safety seniors During the winter months, ice, snow and cold temperatures can make life challenging for everyone. Slippery sidewalks and cold weather can cause a wide range of injuries and illnesses – especially for seniors. Here is some helpful advice for preventing common winter dangers that the elderly population faces. Eat a Varied Diet Because people spend more time indoors and may eat a smaller variety of foods, nutritional deficits -- especially Vitamin D deficiency -- can be a problem. Try to consume foods that are fortified with Vitamin D, such as milk, grains and seafood options like tuna and salmon. Dress for Warmth Cold temperatures can lead to frostbite and hypothermia -- a condition where the body temperature dips too low. According to the CDC, more than half of hypothermia-related deaths were of people over the age of 65. So don't let indoor temperatures go too low and dress in layers. Going outside? Wear warm socks, a heavy coat, a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. In very cold temperatures, cover all exposed skin. Use a scarf to cover your mouth and protect your lungs. Your body temperature should never dip below 95 degrees -- if it does get medical assistance immediately. Avoid Slipping on Ice Icy, snowy roads and sidewalks make it easy to slip and fall. Often these falls cause major injuries such as hip and wrist fractures, head trauma and major lacerations. While younger people often recover relatively quickly from such injuries, older adults face complications, which Make sure to wear shoes with good traction and non-skid soles, and stay inside until the roads are clear. Replace a worn cane tip to making walking easier. Take off shoes as soon as you return indoors because often snow and ice attach to the soles and, once melted, can lead to slippery conditions inside.
Fight Depression Because it can be difficult and dangerous to get around, many seniors have less contact with others during cold months. This can breed feelings of loneliness and isolation. To help avoid these issues, family members can check in on seniors as often as possible; even a short, daily phone call can make a big difference. Seniors can also arrange a check-in system with neighbors and friends, where each person looks in on one or two others daily. Prepare for Power Outages Winter storms can lead to power outages. Make sure you have easy access to flashlights and a battery-powered radio. Stockpile warm blankets. Longer outages can spoil the food in your fridge and freezer so keep a supply of non-perishable foods that can be eaten cold on hand. If the power goes out, wear several layers of clothing, including a hat. Move around a lot to raise your body temperature.
Check the Car Driving during the winter can be hazardous for anyone. But it is especially dangerous for older people, who may not drive as often anymore or whose reflexes may not be as quick as they once were. Get your car serviced before wintertime hits -or ask a family member to bring it to a garage for you. Checking things like the oil, tires, battery and wipers can make a big difference on winter roads. Also make sure your AAA membership is up-to-date in case of emergencies. Prevent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Using a fireplace, gas heater or lanterns can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. Ensure your safety by checking the batteries on your carbon monoxide detector and buying an updated one if you need to. The most important tip to keep in mind during the colder months is to ask for help.
If you need to clear your property of snow and ice, don't hesitate to ask a family member or neighbor, or hire a professional. Arrange rides to the grocery store and doctor's appointments. Many communities have shuttle services specifically for seniors. Don't be afraid to reach out for help. Wintertime certainly poses challenges for seniors, but with a bit of planning and awareness, you will stay healthy and experience the joys of springtime soon enough.

Grandchildren Grandparents often get to experience the joys of little children but without the sleepless nights and diaper changes. Grandparents love their grandchildren, and this love lightens their own heart while simultaneously benefiting the grandchildren who receive this love.

More Time for Loved Ones Retirement isn’t inherently relaxing or joyful – it’s how that time is used that makes it special. One of the best parts of retirement is being spending more time with family, friends and other loved ones.
Opportunity to Pursue Your Dreams The time gained from retirement is an excellent opportunity to pursue dreams and passions that you might have put on hold because of your work-life or child-rearing. You can take that trip to Paris you’ve always dreamed, write the novel in your head that’s been waiting to get out, or learn a new language.

Participation in Civics and Volunteering Growing old provides a sense of new and broader perspective, and it often makes people inclined to focus much of their efforts and energy towards bettering society and creating a better world for future generations. People over aged 65 vote at a higher rate than any other age group according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. They also volunteer at a high rate. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics , one in four U.S. seniors 65+ actively volunteered during 2012.

Senior Discounts The discounts offered to seniors can help people save money in a period when income tends to be fixed and limited. These discounts also provide an incentive for seniors to make the most of their retirement, for the discounts are often for the exact types of services that help seniors stay engaged and active, such as entertainment, dining, and transportation.

Sense of Accomplishment Older people often have a healthy sense of pride that comes from their accomplishments. Seemingly ordinary achievements like raising a healthy and happy child, being happily married, serving in defense of the nation, or retiring from a job in good-standing after years of dedicated service, can be the foundation of a pleasant contentment in old age.

Laparoscopic surgery for seniors Laparoscopic surgery offers many advantages when compared to similar procedures performed through a large open incision, according to Dr. Jerald Wishner, co-director of the Institute for Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital. Patients undergoing a laparoscopic surgery experience:

• less pain • earlier return of intestinal function • earlier ambulation • shorter hospitals stays • earlier return to their baseline activities These advantages can be particularly important to the elderly. The improvement in mobility and reduction in post-operative pain allows them to leave the hospital sooner and without assistance making them less likely to require discharge to a nursing home. In addition early ambulation and the shorter hospital stay reduces the risk of post-operative complications such as pneumonia and venous thrombosis which would increase the need for longer term care in a nursing home. In a recent study, the authors correctly note that while survival data is critical for colorectal cancer patients quality of life measures should not be overlooked. We often look at return to work data for younger patients but the ability to resume normal activity and independence and return directly home sooner is equally important in elderly patients.

Gilberg and staff provide unmatched care, special touch It’s 9 a.m. on Labor Day, a day off for many, but Loren Gilberg is exactly where she wants to be - at the bedside of one of her clients, an 84-year-old gentleman with serious medical issues, who lives in an assisted living facility in Westchester County. It’s not uncommon for Gilberg and her staff to spend time with their patients on other holidays such as Christmas and New Year’s Day. Call it the Gilberg touch. That’s who she is, caring, experienced, knowledgeable, innovative. Her firm delivers extraordinary care on a daily basis. As the founder of Elder Care Consulting Inc. and Elder Care Homecare Inc., Gilberg, together with her renowned staff, helps her senior clients receive outstanding care and maintain their quality of life. “People are living to ripe old ages,” Gilberg said. “We do everything like a daughter would do for her mom, dad or loved ones. We oversee and coordinate home visits, medication management,
doctors visits, emergency room and hospital visits, and other needs our clients have on a daily basis. The commitment we make to all of them is extremely significant.” As for Gilberg’s credentials: Where do we start? Gilberg, a registered nurse with more than 20 years of experience in geriatric care, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a certified care manager. Her unique and impressive credentials allow her to help clients of Elder Care Consulting and their families navigate the complex world of managed care, medical benefits, homecare services, social service organizations and legal issues. Elder Care Consulting is a professional Geriatric Care Management firm offering seniors and their families a comprehensive range of GCM services with a personal touch. The mission is simple: to help older adults maintain quality of life, independence and dignity.
To complement her vision at Elder Care Consulting, Gilberg founded Elder Care Homecare. There has been a perfect synergy between the two firms, which has led to unmatched attention and care in the Tri-State area. The firm also provides care for clients in Florida, including their snowbird set. Elder Care Homecare provides quality home care services that are individualized to meet clients’ needs and allow them to reside with dignity and comfort in their own home. Elder Care Consulting and Elder Care Homecare also help clients in need find the perfect assisted living facility for them. “To maintain the proper quality of life for seniors, you have to make sure nothing falls through the cracks,” Gilberg said. “You have to be on top of everything and make sure your client has an advocate. Whether our client is at home, or residing in an assisted living facility or short-term rehab, we assist them with all of their needs – from doctor’s visits and all other areas of daily care.”
Gilberg is an expert in the field of eldercare. She has been interviewed on Cablevision’s News 12 Westchester and Bloomberg Cable News, and has had articles published in numerous journals, including The Journal News, Senior News, Inside Westchester County, Advance for Nurses, and Town Report. The firm’s clients and their families are what matter most to Gilberg and her staff. Take, for example, an 84-year-old gentleman under their care. He was recently relocated from Florida in poor health, suffering from kidney issues, diabetes, vascular problems and bed sores. His family contacted Elder Care Consulting for help and advice in a desperate situation. The 84-year-old’s health improves daily thanks to Elder Care Consulting extraordinary care. Before the firm intervened, the family felt helpless. Not anymore. That’s the Gilberg touch, special in so many ways, a leader in the field.
