architecture of relationship At the heart of the project lies the theme of the revival of the culture of dwell, starting with the idea of renewing and reinventing the meaning of public space in relation with private ones and collective mediation spaces. The goal is to create a new balance between public and private sectors, starting from an architecture that does not end in the individual project of the building but also invests the theme of the places generating regular and surprise, clarity and interference, balance bike and quiet, basic elements of the narrative. This is possible strengthening and reinventing the networks of sociability in a close relationship between private space and public spaces giving centrality to the new socializing plots. Specifically, the project proposes the redevelopment of brownfields of Bovisa located in the bend created by the railway tissue and leading to its isolation from the end of ‘800, with the aim of transforming a great void in a part of town. The elements which must relate the project are definitely the rail system that on the one hand, breaks the close relationships with the surrounding neighborhoods, on the other hand allows high accessibility to both metro-scale (which determined the industrial take-off and it now favors the redevelopment) and inter-regional but also internationally thanks to the connection with Malpensa airport. Other key elements are certainly the existing historical, former industrial buildings now abandoned, which can and must take on the role of real monuments. On this basis the project, which is set up as the result of a dialectical process between the various scales of design, starts from the design of relational webs with the surrounding areas by creating the “doors (mostly pedestrian) which overcome the railway and which have their culmination in the great flooded central square of structured interference and combinations of mineral parts and plant parts that generate a system of thresholds from which branch vanishing into spaces that structure the entire area.

local, urban, metropolitan The project developed in the northern areas of the City of Caronno Pertusella involves the insertion of a new residential buildings. The design of the individual areas was preceded by an initial analysis phase of the town itself and the definition of a common Masterplan for the various working groups, which in this case takes on the provisions contained in the Territorial Government Plan as the theme for the project research . The study of the services and features of the three historic cores that make up the municipality has led to base the design strategy on the theme of connections, in order to constitute an organic system able to enhance the urbanity of places.

City Plan
The Masterplan project provides one initial study on the major problems of the city, highlighting the riding position between the two great parks of Lura and Groane. The town also has two strong cersures: the railway that isolated part of the town, and varesina, a high-speed road that divides the three centers Caronno, Pertusella and Bariola. Primary objective of the Masterplan is the reconnection of the city to the two large parks and surrounding areas due to the project of a green belt, using a train-bridge station newly developed over railway and enters one of the two strengthening roads linking the three centers: Italia boulevard for Caronno and Pertusella, and Kennedy street for Pertusella and Bariola.
On these axes are then placed a series of elements to strengthening of connections and, consequently, of the three centers that have been redesigned. Caronno retrieves a part of the courts, now almost entirely residential, with the inclusion of shops. It is then made 30 area in the varesina track that runs along the pedestrian precinct, so inviting motorists to use the existing strap. The center of Pertusella belongs to the upgrading project started with the railway-bridge, while Bariola become a garrison of the green belt, from which it is crossed.

The project in the north Area involved the provision of a new residential settlement. In the arrangement of the new buildings, you can recognize five bands: a first band consists of duplex that reflect in sizes and heights the surrounding tissue, creating continuity with the town. The second is made up of “pixels of two four-storey duplex alternating which bridge between the duplex and the courts that make up the third group. The courts are three, the middle one host on the ground floor services and trade. The last two groups are beyond the drive way: a system of towers on a smooth paved and the park, a space dedicated to the residences but also acts as a filter to rail. The green is divided into three distinct areas: the private green, next to the apartments on the ground floor, the public green seeds, centrally located, which rises and modeling to build a small hill, acts as a natural barrier between the public space and private and allows to create the staging fields overlook on the last type of green: the public that acts as a filter between the driveway and the interior space of the courts.

A SCHOOL FOR TREMEZZO The project involves the construction of an elementary school not only of the town of Tremezzo, but also for the neighboring ones. The project consists of two lateral bodies that follow the trend of the area, creating a feeling of closure towards the outside and at the same time of protection towards the central space which is the real heart of the school as recreational space. The main access is given by a large accessible staircase square, which also has outdoor recreational function space. Once you enter the building you are in the lobby of distribution which is also the place for recreation, thanks to the presence of small altitude jumps for children to play. Even the corridors become places where you can stay thanks to a series of niches with sessions that, at the same time, mark the outside faรงade. Finally, in the rear part, next to the canteen are placed some municipal offices.

once upon a time . . . The project involves the construction of a temporary exibition of the Kartell products within the spaces of the Villagio Artigiano di Modena. The curatorship of the products is based on a fairy tale in which objects come to life: the reason for this choice is the desire to make the exhibition as accessible as possible. A planimetric level is taken over the New York road tissue where the Kartell shop is located, along which the curtain walls that simulate a city street were then reconstructed. Lighting is used to give the idea of being in the city at night, same setting chosen for the story.

Attila and Napoleon
Dr. Glob
Miss Tripp
Cindy
Once upon a time there were Attila and Napoleon, two Kartell gnomes that, after waiting for a long time in the darkness stock of one of the shops were bought, and finally taken in their new home. First of all they decided to throw a party and invite all their friends. That evening they were all there: Miss Trip dressed in sage green and ivory was very elegant; while Baptist and Gastone were ever late to the party. Lovely Rita is uncoiled lazily on the wall, while Bookworm tried to form a hypnotic spiral in black, cobalt blue, and red wine. La Marie, the most shy of all, was as usual invisible. But it was only with the arrival of the Glue Cinderella, the newcomers in the house Kartell that could kick off the celebration. They were considered by all as the best dancers in the world, but unfortunately they always had to go home before midnight. Towards the end of the evening everyone had been drinking a bit too much: the first to indulge in a passionate kiss were Dr. Glob and Miss Balù, in a black and white shattered into a thousand reflections of Cindy, but there was also the wild dance of Dr. No and Dr. Na in a gray and lavender, light orange, white wax, while Dolly bent with all pistachio green grace. In another corner there was life: Bubble Club, Eros/S/, and Chaise Longue LCP, heedless of the cold of the night, had opened the window and enjoyed the beacons of light that illuminated them. Prince AHA was trying to get noticed by Bloom tipping. She was beautiful: she wore a dress made of white flowers, pink and blacks. The only one not invited was the FPE chair, which was jealous of all those colored objects, which, in contrast, was made of only blacks and purples. She decided to ruin the party taking away the colors, to make them all white and blacks. But Attila and Napoleon did not lose heart, they knew that their masters were in possession of the famous Manuscript Kartell and so uttering the magic words: “philipstark antoniocitterio normaluisa maartenvanseveren ferrucciolaviani ronarad color and shape make back” so it was that in a flurry of lights all colors returned to their place, and even the bad chair became all colored, and even a good friend of the gnomes and all the Kartell-world objects. Now, as in any self-respecting history, it takes a moral: if your life turns gray and lacking in creativity and color, then what you need is the magic of Kartell book.

The lighting is entirely artificial: there are suspended profilers to simulate street lighting, while the exhibits are illuminated thanks to the spotlights on the ground. Are then placed in the scenery strips led to simulate the light coming out from the windows of the houses.
