First post: Floods in Europe (June 2013) Recently countries like Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Austria were hit by massive rainfalls which resulted in heavy floods. Many cities almost drowned and a high number of people lost their homes, leaving them with great loss and in despair. It’s not only a financial desaster for the affected people but also a personal distress. The town Deggendorf (about 30.000 inhabitants) in Germany estimated costs ,caused by the floods, for over 500 million ₏.
