Follow-up the floods Since hopefully some guys of you did read my first post, for those who didn’t, scroll down, we all know that dangerous floods have ravaged many parts of Europe. Today I decided to do a small bicycle tour to check upon my surrounding area here in southern Bavaria. In fact everything seems to look nice again….so back to normal?
On the surface, one might think so..but now since the water is almost gone (at least in the southern part of Germany) the real damage is unveiled. Facts reporting from the city Rosenheim:
Over 1000 tons of litter coming from damaged personal belongings Inedible tap water Insurance companies resigning from their contracts (with clients who were reached by the floods) Donation fraud (people claiming to collect money for flood victims)
However: This flood strongly brought people together to help each other. Also a lot of real donations were made through various types of events (e.g. spontaneous concerts, regional newspapers, Bayern3 radio station)
