Care homes are embracing technological innovations to enhance resident wellbeing and operational efficiency.
With Pink Connect’s focus on IT, security, and network infrastructure, these facilities are providing better care, improved communication, and refined data protection.
The provider of IT solutions and services designed specifically for the healthcare industry understands the challenges care homes face in meeting the stringent compliance standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the NHS. That's why they are reaching out to offer a solution that will ensure IT infrastructure remains compliant while allowing care providers to focus on delivering exceptional care.
High-speed internet connectivity is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity for smooth communication, remote monitoring, and efficient data transfer. Pink Connect leverages cutting-edge technologies such as remote management and personalised secure platforms to enhance resident care, improve outcomes, and create exceptional experiences.
One of the key areas where Pink Connect has made a significant impact is by being a trusted outsourced team, where care homes can access excellent IT solutions without the financial strain of maintaining an internal team. By leveraging their expertise and resources, care homes can eliminate the need for an in-house IT department, saving both time and money.
They can also help care homes protect resident data and medical records to maintain trust, whilst being compliant with GDPR. Robust cybersecurity measures, like encryption, are integrated into systems, with regular audits and cyber awareness staff training. They take pride in their ability to support the healthcare sector and have successfully partnered with numerous care homes across the country, enabling them to stay compliant, secure, and efficient.
The Serco Restart Scheme has been working with One Stop, a retail convenience business with more than 900 shops, since July 2022.
Serco Restart Scheme Employer Engagement Coordinator, Hannah Monaghan, met Campbell Hutchison, People Partner for One Stop, via a mutual connection.
The Restart Scheme is part of the Government’s wider Plan for Jobs programmes to help people develop their skills so they can find long-term meaningful employment. Serco has been chosen by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to deliver the Restart Scheme in West Central (Black Country, Coventry, Greater Birmingham and Solihull, The Marches and Worcestershire) and Wales.
Following Hannah and Campbell’s success in Wales, One Stop approached Serco to roll out promotion of their vacancies to other Restart Scheme providers across England. Hannah and Campbell are now working together and have implemented a recruitment process across all 12 Restart Scheme providers in England.
Hannah said: “One Stop are very supportive in wanting to help our participants succeed. They hold information sessions to provide participants insight into the roles and responsibilities of the jobs that are available and help them with interview preparation. I have also presented to One Stop team managers to help them understand more about the Restart Scheme and answer any questions they have.”
Campbell said: “I am thoroughly enjoying the collaborative approach that the Restart
Scheme and we (One Stop) have adopted and continue to foster. As well as recruiting for store staff, we have also incorporated our distribution centres into the recruitment process and have just successfully welcomed our first new colleague into this area via the Restart Scheme.” To find out more, email eewestcentral@serco.com or visit https://www.serco-ese.com/restartscheme/employers
