Historic Hatfield Park cements strong ties with Chamber

Anthony Downs, Estate Director at Gascoyne Estates-owned Hatfield Park,

explains why the Hertfordshire tourist attraction is the perfect getaway for business professionals…

Why did Hatfield Park decide to become a Chamber Patron?

Hatfield Park and the Chamber have a longestablished relationship including previous joint working and collaboration on the Hertfordshire Infrastructure Charrette series. Now that the Chamber has located its home within Old Hatfield, Patronage was a natural evolution and we look forward to working on further joint initiatives in the future.

What sort of benefits do you expect to gain from this arrangement?

Hatfield Park is rooted in Hertfordshire, both in terms of its history and geography. Whilst our history and principles remain important, we take a long-term approach to business and much of our time is focused on planning for the decades ahead. Opportunities to share our ideas and thinking, to network and work collaboratively with a broad spectrum of businesses that are represented by the Chamber, will assist Gascoyne in ensuring we remain outward-focused and in touch with latest thinking.

What benefits will Hatfield Park bring to other Chamber members?

Whether we can provide a future home for member businesses, a high-quality location for work, conferences and training, or simply a calm setting, a backdrop to meet, or a rare opportunity to slow down and think, we look forward to meeting more of the Chamber’s members and exploring how we might help or do business. Hatfield Park and Old Hatfield is a growing business hub with excellent transport links. When Old Hatfield is placed alongside the historic setting of Hatfield Park, we believe it’s an unrivalled setting for business.

Can you describe your relationship with the Chamber? What’s the organisation like to work with?

The Chamber has proved to be an increasingly effective organisation and voice for Hertfordshire businesses. Above all, it has proven to be a friendly, worthy advocate and enthusiastic partner in previous (and, we hope, future) ventures.

Whilst our history and principles remain important, we take a long-term approach to business and much of our time is focused on planning for the decades ahead.
