SUPPLYWELL ANNOUNCED AS PARTNER OF LIVERPOOL SCHOOL BUSINESS NETWORK

Liverpool Chamber are delighted to announce that the leading educational technology firm SupplyWell have become the first ever private sector partner of the Liverpool Schools Business Network (SBN).

This partnership will allow SupplyWell to add valuable insights at all meetings of the network, alongside further events in the Liverpool Chamber portfolio including round-tables, strategy panels and networking events.

As part of this agreement we are also pleased to welcome partner company ReCulture to our family of Strategic Partners.

The School Business Network brings together business leaders and school headteachers and leaders to facilitate engagement, and create opportunities for business engagement and partnerships to stimulate meaningful outcomes for young people.

The Network, delivered in partnership with Liverpool City Council, was established as a result of research undertaken by Liverpool Chamber in 2019 which identified the methods, barriers and demands of businesses engaging with schools in the city region.

A substantial list of initiatives and schemes exist to support schools connectivity with businesses, many of which being delivered by members of our business community. There is a desire for a ‘central hub’ resource which connects schools and businesses and coheres the existing activity taking place.

The Network has already created a number of outcomes for young people, and we are optimistic that with the support of SupplyWell, it will continue to have a positive impact.

The SBN also raises awareness of the support and suppliers available to schools from within the business community. The unique support services provided by Supply Well make them a perfect partner for the Network and we are delighted that they are investing in the development of the network and our wider Skills and Employability work.

Liverpool Chamber CEO Paul Cherpeau said: “We are delighted to support the work of SupplyWell and Reculture as new partners of Liverpool Chamber. We are particularly excited about their support for the Chamber’s skills and employability work with businesses, especially the focus upon the School-Business Network”

SupplyWell CEO Michael Heverin said: “Working with the Liverpool Chamber to support the School Business Network is a really exciting partnership for everyone at SupplyWell. Being able to support Liverpool schools and their connectivity with local businesses will drive social mobility and social capital opportunities for our city’s young people, which is something the whole SupplyWell team are deeply passionate about.”

about SupplyWell

As a former teacher and senior leader for nearly 15 years, SupplyWell was established from CEO Michael Heverin’s experiences. Michael explains: “I often found that the quality, cost and ease of finding the right teacher for both permanent and temporary staff was much more complicated than needed. Due to work-related stress and exhaustion, in December 2018 I was one of 42,000 teachers who left the profession that year, and SupplyWell was born. We wanted to solve the problem of supply teachers being underpaid and schools being overcharged and set out on a mission to keep teachers and money in education.

We understand the importance of helping to reduce preventable absences and work with all our schools to train members of their staff as mental health first aiders and with SupplyWells educators we ensure they have access to a leading wellbeing app as well as regular check-in calls, all to ensure effective signposting.

Our marketplace is an easy-to-use platform that removes the friction from a time-consuming, admin-heavy and costly process. We understand that getting the right teacher into the right school directly impacts the outcomes of young people. We are very much on a mission to create a fairer future for teachers, schools and students.”

about ReCulture

ReCulture is a values driven recruitment business focusing on culture, environment and behaviours, as well as skills. We work with our clients to help them understand their culture and what makes people successful in their organisation, so as to help them find talent who will thrive and make an impact.

Founded by Raina Heverin in 2020 after spending 20 years working for recruitment agencies and in-house with companies such as Reach PLC and Very, ReCulture combines in-house methodologies with agency results. After Co-Founding SupplyWell, Raina knew she wanted to make a difference in the private sector as the unethical practices within education recruitment run through the industry.

Working with tech scale ups, high growth businesses and marketing agencies nationwide we recruit across marketing, digital, tech and other back office functions and offer both contingent recruitment as well as embedded services. With a team of 6 and growing, ReCulture is a Liverpool grown business with international plans.
