WORLD CALL TO TELEWORKING SURROUNDED BY WILD LIFE

… SUNRISE IN SPAIN

A

EUROFAUNA PROJECT · Wild Europe in Spain

Call to locate the Information Society in territories with wolves populations

Municipalities that join this initiative will have to enable land to build with conservationist NGO’s wooden huts to live in natural paradises

WHY SPAIN?

Socio- economic reasons Half of the country, 25 million hectares, is without population and / or profitable activities.

Needs urgently reduce public debt and meet deficit reduction targets 50% of young people are unemployed or earn less than one thousand euros per month.

Tourism reasons Is a tourist destination for the world. Its abandoned space is a great resource that must be properly managed to protect nature.

Natural values Being a refuge for Europeans, for fauna and flora during the glaciations until 15,000 years ago, left traces of great value. It is the territory with one of the most biodiversity and rock art caves in Europe.

Wildlife to develop
the Information Society in rural areas

GOALS

Recolonize marginal rural Spain with inhabitants not dependent on taxes, facilitating an economy based on nature tourism and international conservationists who live and telecommute in their natural spaces to cooperate in Rewilding actions.

HOW WILL THEY DO IT?

High quality tourism and “tourism with cause" and long duration, that come to fight for the expansion of the wildlife.

Conservationist –Teleworkers will make profitable the expansion of the European fauna in Spain through the diffusion of their personal experience participating in the daily tracking of the Iberian fauna with camera traps from naturalists and rangers.

➢With International Teleworker–Conservationists recruited to help Spanish naturalists to convert abandoned or disadvantaged areas into an engine of rural development with the Information Society, promoting virtual tourism and high quality physical tourism. ➢ Strengthening in the rural territory young people that still remain, or those who want to return. ➢With naturalists, shepherds and Spanish officials, as well young people interested in nature, new technologies and culture, to repopulate the rural environment working in a innovative tourism that values the fauna, flora, landscape and the remaining vestiges of Paleolithic culture.

Cantabrian mountain range

This international call to revive the primal Europe in Spain, will be inaugurated with a first activity, in April 2019 –to repeat annually– to recover symbolically the Great Migration of the Great Wild Herbivores from Doñana marsches to the Cantabrian mountains.

You will ride with a herd of horses that live wild in the Biological Reserve of Doñana, vestige of the Iberian tarpan.

Doñana marshes

From May to October, we will broadcast to the world how horses and teleworkers in charge of tracking them will be in the Cantabrian mountains, living with bears and wolves, so that the tarpan recovers its capacity of defense against predators and benefits from natural selection.

From December to March, the horses will graze in DoĂąana, in AznalcĂĄzar and Almonte, sharing territory with lynxes, cranes and other migratory birds of Europe that spend the winter there, being the protagonists of products of virtual and presential tourism together with other fauna, rock art and European Paleolithic culture.

The herds will go to the South every November. In the month of April they will return to the North. The rodeo to gardern the mares, as well as the horseback riding with the tarpans through the Caùada Leonesa, is a tourist and media advertising offer of first magnitude.
The places, for days, to riding with the wildhorses, will be auctioned to finance the project.

ACTIONS CALENDAR

2. November 2018 will be inaugurated the first international camp of teleworkersconservationists in a dehesa of Doñana, in the municipality of Aznalcázar to spread to the world the virtual tourism based on the wild and a presential tourism to share unique life experiences. www.eurofauna.wordpress.com www.wild-europe.com (spanish)

1. Before the official presentation
of this Plan, on October 18, 2018, in Berlin, it will be exhibited on September 26
at the World Congress of the European Bison, in the German Land of Brandenburg, together with the plans of expansion of these species in Spain.
The call to cooperate with the Spanish naturalists to recovering the European wildlife, is proposed as a reissue of the International Brigades, now to offer "brains" of the Information Society to live with the wild.

ACTIONS:

AUROCHS (Bos taurus)

BISON (Bison bonasus)

CEBRO (asno salvaje)

1. Returning freedom to cows, horses and donkeys allows recovering uros, tarpans and cebros, large herbivores that the Neolithic people domesticated and brought 6,000 years ago from Asia, eradicating their wild relatives from Europe.
In addition, we collaborate in the breeding of european bisons, an endangered species that has never been domesticated. They complete the “team" of brushcutters that prevent fires and produce meat where livestock disappear.

TARPAN (Equus ferus)

ACTIONS /2

2. This plan recolonizes unprofitable areas of Spain (half of the country, more than 25 million hectares) with conservationists to reconvert the actual nature conservation policy and the –by the European Agrarian Policy subsidized– livestock breeding.
We need to stop funding with our taxes activities that could be profitable Media diffusion of wildlife monitoring and payments for environmental services, are keys to complement a new profitable rural economy in natural spaces.

INTERNACIONAL BRIGADES

WHAT DOES IT CONSIST ON?

Settlements in 2,000 municipalities –with wolf population and other emblematic species– with up to 15 conservationists–teleworkers in each, to develop Virtual Tourism and Information Society in rural dependent Spain capable to recover threatened European fauna.

WHY THAT DENOMINATION?

This initiative takes its name from the International Brigades, an historic act of solidarity for which 200.000 idealists from 53 countries came to Spain 80 years ago to fight for their ideals. The difference of the current call, far to political ideologies, is that, instead of coming willing to die, this time they are invited to come to live, a full, exciting life, combining the activity that each can develop by Internet with the experience of recovering the wild life and values of the primal Europe.

Letter to the Government of Spain

To make possible
 a social sector that conserve
and produce endangered fauna to recover rural
unpopulated areas, is necessary a change of conservation,
education and territory laws, such as: 1. Legal de-domestication of large herbivores, recognizing the right to return to the freedom cows, donkeys
and horses, managed like deer or ibex.

3.Facilitate the access
to communal territory by Teleworkers–Conservationists to develop his work.

2. Define the job profile of Teleworker Conservationist, adding facets from cattle rancher, transhumant, hunting
guard, environmental agent, journalist, outdoor monitor and tour guide figures.

4. Modify urban planning to build teleworker camps in protected areas or rustic territory. 5. Allow children to have his school in the field by Internet.
